Well today sucked!
I was getting the Android and iOS betas up to their places…when suddenly…
Everything except power went down…
Spectrum Internet, TV, mobile phone…right in the middle of submitting special information due to the additional things needed for the messenger app…so…a bit of a delay…another learning experience…
Once they are both okayed by Google and Apple… I’ll release them both at the same time out to beta.
It may be a couple days or so…
Sooooooo…close… I’d hoped to get it out before this weekend.
I believe the iOS version is uploaded and possibly waiting for approval…the Android version: they want reasons why I am doing certain things they found…I must explain and submit videos so they understand what I am doing.
I had to remove France from places the app is available; they require specific documentation and certifications about the encryption used and how I use it, above what Apple and Google provide…I do not have the money for an international lawyer and the fees associated with getting certified…so they don’t get the app.
So once I finish getting all videos together… it’s just waiting for approvals.
Internet finally came back a few minutes ago…went down at about 11am.

So…the iOS version successfully uploaded! Waiting for me to “add a group” then submit.
For Android also uploaded:
I have to create three videos:
- showing why I am asking to use foreground/background microphone… it’s for if on a video or voice call and you minimize the window or swipe away the app during the calls it goes to picture in picture mode so the call doesn’t end until you chose to end the calls.
- camera…for the same reasons
- data…for background app is syncing directory and ready to receive calls, messages, attachments, etc.
I need another user to help; wife and kids are out running around…once I get the videos done… I’ll get them submitted.

Sorry…I haven’t added the email list yet of the iOS beta tester group…waiting for the android version to also get approved…however…if they want more documentation…I may release the iOS first in that case.

I submitted the iOS version for review… it’s taking longer than expected on the Android side review…so I am going to release the iOS beta version as the first beta is about to expire.
If you are on the beta of iOS version, I’ll send it out as soon as Apple approves it…sorry for the delay…the messenger was a lot of work.

Got a notification from Google… it’ll take up to 7 days for them to review Hortus with Messenger. All information and videos are submitted to both Apple and Android for review.
I’ll keep you all posted.
If anyone on the iOS iPhone beta test side has any issues getting into the app…they limit beta test apps to 90days…leave your app installed..
The new one should update it and reset the 90day calendar.

Ahhhhhh!
Google is being mean!
They reevaluated my production app and now are complaining about it as well…
They are requiring me to replace it…only version to replace it with is the new version…so…here we go.
Google wants a replacement but I must submit a new production version at the same time as the beta they complained about.
Glad I am very picky about submitting to beta…most everything is done and good in my betas…if you all hadn’t noticed.
So if this submission works, it’s going out to beta and production. Glad I don’t have thousands of users right now.

Make sure you save your back up file or Recovery Phrase for messenger… you’ll need that to recover your username/alias you had chosen…
After the backup…remove the test app from your phones please…they are old and out of date at this point.

I’ve had to push out a few updates already today…
Final Android fully functional version is 43…on production and beta.
I’ll be submitting it in a few minutes…found a bug in recovery from the backup file…once at version 43 all backup files should work as intended.
Sorry…the last couple of days have been hectic with Google issues.
Still waiting for approval from Apple to release the iOS version.
Edit: android 43 is sent for review.

found one more bug in the directory…my testdevice wasn’t broadcasting…found the issues and submitted…sorry about all of this today…trying to fix issues as i find them…hopefully this last one is it for now. version 44.
