I ment to say PINE soap…

Just thought it was a local brand there. Is it pine sap based? If so, don’t add too much or can inhibit growth from the sap compounds.

@Budbrother I will have to check that, tonight is the spraying night. I was going to use just a few drops anyways…

I read online that many growers here use about 2% solution of only this soap for pest control

Just regular non scented hand soap or any soap will do it. The soap breaks their hold washing them away and the bubbles clog their breathing which drowns them.

This soap is made from pine oil which is a side product from making cellulose, and lye.

No harm in small and infrequent amounts. The sap would actually repel bugs. Was just saying above how any soap works.

Is ot ok to spray it on those bigger plants which are flowering already?

That I wouldn’t do past transition. Don’t wanna leave a bad taste inside the buds.

Do you think the taste would linger for so long? They surely have a month and a half left…

Don’t necessarily know if it would or wouldn’t with the resin. With reg soap no problems. Possibly you get some pine flavor, but that equates to inhaling toxins within. you also may have burnin issues, but who knows. I can’t speak from experience here.

Edit: I’m equating this to Spinosad. That definitely leaves a flavor in your bud after harvest used past transition.

Ok I think I won’t risk it. There isn’t much pest damage anyways..

Just use a couple drops of some hand soap. Dawn dish soap is awesome, for non organic use, on ornamentals

So what do you think about the nettle/molasses/water- ferment(smells fermented even if only been 3 days in the bucket) and it’s qualities for pest management? Also it feeds the plants maybe a bit?

If you have access to tobacco, I highly recommend its use. Deadly paralytic to pests, no immunity buildup, and it’s food safe. I usually use a couple smokes worth boiled and steeped.

I don’t have experience using it for pest control.

So just to break apart a couple of ciggies, and boil them?

And how much water should I use?

I just toss them in a pot with some water and make a concentrate to add to a topped off 4 L

Thank you! Now I have a regime already, if I alternate between those two!

If you wanna get fancy, toss in some minced garlic and some hot peppers to repel pests as well.
