The exhaust fan is essential to change out the air in the room. You’re going to want new air in the room ever 1-5 mins if possible. Stagnant air and low co2 are bad news for indoor plants. I personally found a little work around by using a spare bathroom. Has a roof exhaust already in it and a floor vent. With two oscillating fans and a air purifier I am able to help the air both come in through the floor vent and push it out the top while also giving the tops and bottoms of my plants a breeze. All of this is essentially what grow tents are trying to accomplish, and why an extractor fan or some other method of air exchange is necessary to indoor plants. I don’t know if my air purifier helps, but it helps prevent mold and such.
