I am new to all this, and with the help from all you guys and gals I’ve made it to my first week of flower so Thank You all. 
My question now is should I thin her out below the canopy ? It’s so thick not much light is getting through to all the branches below the very top ?

You can take off as much as 1/3 of the lower part of the plant as those areas won’t be all that productive.
Other than that it is a good idea to only take off what is necessary to maintain good airflow within the plant’s canopy.
