To thin out or not to thin out, that is the question

I’m currently in week three of flower, and looking for recommendations on whether I need to thin out more, or let the buds grow as is…

The grow has been lollypopped and I. Week two I did defoliate quite a bit underneath and some fan leaves that were covering bud sites.

Looking for suggestions on how soon I should do another defoliation and how much would be recommended. I had great success on another genetic last grow leaving as shown, but it did have some larfy material along with the mature buds.

Only as necessary to maintain good airflow within the plant’s canopy. It’s help the plant with respiration of CO2, oxygen, and moisture and helps mitigate mold and mildew. The plant otherwise needs its leaves to manufacture the sugars the plant needs to be productive.

Looking good, I like to see plants that not burned up. Do a little tucking if I took any it wouldn’t be much.
Good luck :v:

The way I judge is how much light is coming through the canopy. Not that I want the light, but I know if I’m getting good light… I’m getting good airflow.

I try to take as little as possible and keep air moving. Even if I have some lower stuff (bigger fans) I leave them if they’re in the light.

What I see in the pic looks A Okay to me. I can see light dispersed fairly even on the bottom of the tent. That’s just how I gauge, others may do it different. Whatever works… works.

I’m usually the first one to say trim but those look awesome maybe six or seven big hand leaves could go. Even if they stay it still looks very breathable through there. Keep up the good work they look awesome. :potted_plant:
