Total newbie and we are on week two of vegetation and this is Bruce Banner noticed today that couple of the leaves are starting to look a little burnt on the tips trying to figure out what’s going on and any advice that could be had. Light is about 20 inches above it Indoor tent used watering about every other day watching the PH it’s fine making sure I’m only using distilled or filtered water. Have used small amount of fox farms nutrients I put a tablespoon and a half in a gallon jug and I’ve sprayed it on maybe four or five times over the last week. I know people say that a lot goes along way with that so I’ve been hesitant on really going heavy on it. If it’s nutrient deficiency, what is your recommendation if it’s potassium deficiency, what is your recommendation? Any help is greatly appreciated.
What soil (brand and type) are you using?
Your plant looks good. A little bit of tip burning is not a big deal. I actually shoot for a bit of tip burn…That tells me I am feeding about as much as the plant can take.
Welcome to the forum. There are many great growers here that just love helping folks take their grows to a successful harvest.
If the tip burn progresses you may need to take some action.
I did a mixture of organic blend and I think it was miracle grow in the yellow bag which some aspects I heard is OK some aspects I’ve heard is not after they were already planted and sprouted through and everything and they are in 5 gallon buckets. This just popped up overnight yesterday they looked just fine.
So I have another plant Bruce Banner plant that the very first leaves that sprout wilted and turned yellow and it looks like there’s some pistols forming, but he is not growing height wise very strong but he has grown about an inch over the last four days. I’m gonna post a picture of him.
Many folks that use Miracle Grow soils struggle. Others have been successful with MG but it present some challenges due to the time release nutrients that most MG soils have.
You probably have a touch of nitrogen burn if in MG. MG and cannabis don’t always get along so well as it nukes your plant with nitrogen and submarines your pH every time you water. The plant looks good, but keep an eye on it. Suggest getting it in a cannabis friendly soil that is pH buffered for cannabis when you transplant.
I wasn’t planning on transplanting only be because of her that can be very stressful on the plant and being 100%. They didn’t want to chance that as they are in 5 gallon buckets currently, but if that is what is going to help I am all about knowing and moving forward ahead of time because I have two other ones that are planted that are in the same type of Soil. What is a suggested soil just all organic? Or organic mixed with…?
Roots Organics is a good choice.
That is what I am using. Started with FFOF and switched to RO a few grows back. My results have been the same for both soils.
Since these are both in the same soil, and I tried to edit it, but the first one is white widow the second one is Bruce Banner, with the small pistols that are showing on it already at two weeks of vegetation. I thought that was a little early but again this is the first time, so I have no idea could that be white? The first small leaves on Bruce are also wilted in his growth is a little stunted compared to the white widow
Autos have a mind of their own. They do what they want and when they want.
imo auto’s are harder to grow than photo. I only did 1 auto. I would stop spraying anything on the girls. Only water if plant is light. (Weight) i am bad about this. I am guilty of overwatering. Be sure to check your runoff numbers with ph and tds meters.
