So I’m currently growing two auto flowers, one being sour diesel the other being northern lights in a DWC system. After initially, transferring my seedlings to the system, I noticed that the northern lights was growing at a much slower pace than the sour diesel, and after about a week realized it was because it hadn’t found its roots into the water. Now I am currently in week, four of my auto flower grow, and my one plant is ready to switch nutrients to bloom but my other plant is still at least a week behind and growth, what can I do? If I add Bloom nutrients to the system, it’s gonna cause issues with my northern lights that is still not anywhere close the size of the sour Diesel And more than likely will be dealing with a nutrient lockout issue.
I thought about trying to take out the northern lights and re-planting it in soil but other than that, it looks like it’s gonna be a wasted plant unless I can figure something else out.
Any help would be much appreciated
Autoflower. A week or so behind wont hurt. I would let small 1 veg a week or so. If big 1 flips flip the solution. Just my thoughts. Just smaller N numbers and more P/K. A week is pretty close. 2 even. Im organic and a week is just a short time for repairs.
So you’re suggesting that I don’t change anything and hold off on doing a water change with bloom nutrients? I’m guessing that could slightly affect the size and amount of my bud growth from the larger plant but will make up for it with two plants.
Your big girl isnt in flower. Doesnt look like it is. When it changes to flower change nutes.
The NL looks great…just small.
Welcome to the world of autos! There are a lot of oddities and inconsistencies in autos, at least in my experience. Tiny plants, giant plants, plants that start to flower after just a couple weeks, plants that don’t want to seem to flower.
I’d let her keep running personally…
Transplanting from the bubble bucket to soil will in the very least hurt your chances of getting her to a successful harvest.
For sure! I love autos, but they can be wonky at times and you dont have much control.
@Bshs88 to better your chances of having similar growth using autos in an RDWC, plant the same strain on ur next run. Happy growing Growmie
Its not too far behind in my opinion Growmie, difference in a Sativa dominant Hybrid SD and the NL is 90% Indica. I wouldn’t concern myself with the nutrient change not seeing any flowering signs
