I haven’t had much luck growing yet. Today was a fun surprise though. So these autos are 6 weeks in soil.
I am growing 12 plants. 9 are stunted (like this one) , the other 3 are growing nicely. I’m having lots of trouble not stunting plants. I handle them very carefully (from germination seedling into the soil), IDK why I keep stunting them. Too much water?? Anyways…
Anything I should change on these little guys or the large ones, now that they’re starting to turn to flower?
I will start to switch my nutrients to flowering nutrients. Any other changes? Or just maintain and monitor?
Something is off with your method. Your plants should be way bigger. I’m not trying to be a horses ass here, but would like help if I could. What light and soil are you using? Autos can be very finicky to grow.
Look very dry. Auto are best for exPerienced growers IMO. Photo gives you good experience before growing auto. They can be finicky. I only grow them as fillers myself.
@Dexterado is asking the right questions. Soil particularly. Lights seem to have grown the others a bit…. I wouldn’t grow autos if I hadn’t grown photos many times before to start. Very little room for error.
But you mention nutes and changing the schedule, a couple of those weren’t big enough in my opinion to even start getting nutes. I know they’re 6 weeks, but thinking that may have been the issue to begin with. Decent soil should’ve kept nutes out of the equation even with autos for a while…… would also like to know what nutes? And have you looked at PH in soil? Early nutes and no growth means they are still in soil and depending on what kind means salt, and probably a PH of 5…… guessing. But tell me how close please!
I have been using the Photon app to monitor my lighting. I have only been using the DLI. Have not even looked at my PPFD. My DLI has been almost perfect throughout. 🤷♂
Is it possible to have good DLI and not good enough PPFD?
Looking at the last 2 pictures. My first thoughts what is a height on your light ?
Also next grow consider rolling with the photo plants. Happy growing
Your light should be sufficient for one plant. Here are notes I’ve taken for the easiest, and most cost efficient way to grow a great plant. Take or leave the advice, it’s just what works best for me. No ph’ing required.
Get some fox farm happy frog soil, and solo cups. Moisten the soil, and fill the solo cup. Plant the seed directly into the soil (not very deep), spray a little water on it to settle the seed, and stick a baggie over the top to make a little greenhouse. Keep it warm, and it should break ground in about 3 or 4 days. Stick it under your light on low power, and don’t water until dry.
When seedling is as wide as the cup, transplant into pot of happy frog mixed with perlite, worm castings, a little blood and bone meal, and fox farm fruit and flower 4-9-3 per the instructions on the package. Then top dress with the fruit and flower after 6 weeks, then once a month after that. I use a little kelp me kelp you during veg. I use recharge occasionally to keep the microbes healthy, and occasionally add some organic nutrients to my water during flower like bio thrive bloom, or biobizz bloom.
