Less water, dome plants and need way more light.

I was using this light but temps were too high.

I am willing to purchase a few things but I have to order everything and that will take days if not weeks. That is also why I would like to move them outside. If these are even somewhat successful, I will invest in more for a indoor grow. I went to check on them and the light had fallen on them! Total newbie here, I can’t even keep a houseplant alive. All help is greatly appreciated.

I also forgot to rinse coco …

Get a dome over them and stop watering. Damp not wet. I mist the dome twice a day with a spray bottle of distilled water.

Will putting them in a sunny window a few hours a day with dome and then the rest of their light time under the lamp help?

Yes but you have to be careful of sunlight. Your window will attenuate the light down to where it’s not very effective while at the same time introduce heat in the domed space, possibly nuking your plants. Windowsill light is fairly poor for cannabis too. They like a LOT of light.

Ok, I will keep them under the lamp. I think they may be beyond my ability…lol.

Ok, so this is how I spent the afternoon and now the temp is high and the humidity is low. I took the domes off for pictures, but I have to confess, I already had the domes off for at least 3 days with a fan blowing across them. I thought I read somewhere that the where big enough. I started that when they were still in the tiny cups.

They have been transplanted into solo cups because I was worried that they were stretching too much. They also have no feed.

If you don’t know, I wouldn’t bother too much. Brick male parents, maybe? All good to invest in matz and tools, if you’re going to invest in seeds you know. Just my 2 cents! Good luck!

You need to get better light or transplant them outside.

Welcome to the forum!

I think you’re doing great so far. How long until you plan on putting them outside?

I have a plant light bulb with a dome fixture pictured above. I tried to use it in the beginning but the temps were really high. I have a fan blowing over them, but it doesn’t lower the temp. I have ordered a few things ( on a very tight budget) I have decided to stay inside because if this is even semi successful, I will continue to grow…lol. They are still in solo cups. I have been here for days trying to learn as fast I can! I am wondering when they will need calmag since there is nothing in the coco except perlite and a tiny bit of worm casting. All help is greatly appreciated.

It looks like incandescent bulb with some sort of filter in the diffuser. Those are most amount of heat and least amount of light per watt right off the bulb.

I am going to dig around in my daughters greenhouse and see what I can find. Some of the things I ordered won"t be here for about two weeks, hopefully they can muddle through until stuff starts coming in. Being dirt poor at the moment, and an absolute beginner, and having a total black thumb makes me feel sorry for them. I have been reading and learning as much as I can ( to the detriment of my poor house). I am going to say that it’s been around 13 days since they popped out of the soil. When my order does show up, when do I start giving calmag and watering to RO? I don’t know what kind of coco they are in, I had it leftover from my hermit crabs. Do you have a coco suggestion if they make it until I can put them in 5 gallon fabric pots? Sorry for all of the questions. I was one of those " put em in a pot, they’ll grow" type of people, and then they start to grow and all of a sudden, you care…

I’ve never grown in coco, but I’m getting close. @imSICKkid, @MattyBear or @Not2SureYet all coco growers though, maybe one of them could chime in.

For what it’s worth, I’ll be buying bags of canna coco. And it’s probably fine you don’t have a green thumb. Growing inside is different than outside. Just figure out how to get plants what they need within your means.

If they are in coco now then they also need nutrients now. I buy the bricks of Canna coco @ 24.00/40cu ft or the hydrated bags of Canna @ 50/bag(50cu ft). Its really just paying extra for convenience. In coco the plant has to get fed by you from the start so waiting 2 weeks is gonna be pushing it pretty hard.

You can use the CFL light for these but it needs to be a lot closer. I use them with the light 2" above the dome. A frosted sosol cup over the one the plant is in.
