Just noticed these on my cape poison plant… are they what I’m afraid? @ChittyChittyBangin @Autos-only @1HappyPappy
Yep it’s herm on ya my friend sorry
Uggh I knew it. My other 2 plants may have the same thing going I think. Is that one plant far enough along that it could have pollenated the other 2? I’m not 100% sure if they’re going to herm, but is that highly possible? The more I look at them I see little pods here and there. They are all 2 weeks into flower , should I scrap them all or pull the one for now and wait it out?
Unless your gonna actively check the tent everyday for male parts, spray, and pluck them then id scrap this run because they are all gonna be pollenated at this rate. Some might not be more than others but im sure you’ll have seeds in every plant if you grow it out
That’s a bummer , you have both female and male parts. Good luck
I would pull it myself but you can do as @BigCat420 and try to remove them but its a hassle happy growing my friend
How many are present?
This is how i do it.
If there’s some pop out, I think, "did something i do stress them?
If answer is yes, they just got a heavy defoliation or for example.
I have a Northern lights i took from 1 tent to a different tent and the light was 100% in new tent.
2days later I open the tent and the tallest cola had some nanners stickingout of a female calyx.
I turned light down, plucked them off, and that was 3-4 weeks ago and I’ve seen no more at all.
I have turned the light up slowly and it’s flowering nicely now…
But let’s say my plant popped a bunch of nanners and actual male sacks, then that one would get trashed asap…
So sometimes it’s not a big deal and sometimes it is. No way to really tell for sure
but I have grew many plants that popped a few and then no more, and I’ve trashed a few as well…
If ya can’t afford to lose the plant, pluck and hope for the best if theres only a few.
If theres alot then it’s still your call, but alot of nanners and actually male sacks, I probably wouldn’t keep it myself ![]()
Great read! Excellent advice. Should be in a book titled “Bud Crisis 101”
I had 3 plants in tent, I already removed and chopped the one with most prevalent male parts. The other 2 I’ve found a few here and there and what looks like could potentially be more. I’m not sure how I stressed them, sometimes overnight the dehumidifier is full and the humidity has hit mid 70s for a few hours until I get up and reset dehumidifier… also my sp3000 has been set at 75% and was about 18-20 inches away. Mid 800s ppfd, however for last few days I didn’t adjust my light to their new growth, just let it ride thinking my ppfd will increase gradual that way… was that wrong thinking.? The plant I got rid of was a seed from dispensary weed and the other 2 were a little old with unknown genetics. I have a strawberry shortcake auto and a sour stomper x grape crinkle berry auto germinating now. Think I’m going to watch the 2 plants for the weekend and see how they progress. I really don’t want to chop them being this is my first grow , but I don’t really want some trans plants either! Uggh
Good morning y’all! Lastnight I trimmed up my remaining 2 plants, and went over them both with a fine tooth comb. Pulled half dozen or so little seeds off the kush mintz and maybe 3 off Gorilla glue. This am I watered and gave tiger bloom and checked again for seeds. Pulled a few off kush mintz and 2 off gg4. I raised my light yesterday and dialed in ppfd to around 830. They were less than 12” away at 75% and well over 1000ppfd for few days prior. I’m thinking/ hoping that’s what stressed them and now that I corrected that I’ll have a @1HappyPappy situation and they will stop producing seeds. I have yet to see any “nanners” just the random seed here and there. I’m still going to keep going with the 2 new autos and keep and eye on these ladies and see what happens. I think they’re coming along nicely. Today makes 2 weeks in flower
