Hello awesome people, I’m just wondering if anyone can tell me what might be going on with my girl. She is a Gelonade auto, about 3-5 weeks old, in a mix of fox farm ocean forest, some succulent soil mixed in (thought it would be interesting, contains pumice, and other good stuff. About 1/5 maybe less straight black earthworm castings, and another about 10% added peite. I am running with the element nutes complete crop 9-5-15, myco+ 3-0-3, and flower fuel 1-34-32. And have been giving about an 1/8 strength dose. Recharge compost tea, 2 times at another 1/4 teaspoon. And one straight watering in transition as soon as I knew it was pre-flpwering nutrifield crystalic .2-.1-1 with that watering. That was a lot. So can anyone help me out?
I know that the soil can be to hot for them looks like painted nails shes getting enough nutrients to burn her tips. Ive experienced nutrients lock out before, also started feeding to soon. Most of the soils will let you get4 to 6 weeks before feeding is needed. Im only shooting from the hip, but also things ive come across with the fox farm and ocean forest. Have you measured any run off, curious to see how hot your soil is.
You are giving it far too much juice and if it was ‘my baby’, I would FLUSH it real pronto and repot and follow ILGM’s advice
about soil and repotting…its only pot at the end of the day , beware of going down the rabbit hole. Be happy and lucky.
Just measured runoff today, and it’s pretty high, at 3100 so I’m flushing with ph 6.5-6.7 clean water until I get that to about 1500. I think that’s a fair range for an autoflower that’s not a giant freak of nature. Anyway, I’ll let you guys know how it goes.
Usually not a good idea to mix your own soil unless you have a proven recipe. Your plant is likely out of PH range and is showing some defs as well as excess. I would add some Cal Mag or Epsom along with dolomite lime or oyster flour to buffer PH. With an auto you don’t really want to do anything to stall it out so best to ride it to the finish line.
