I know there are a lot of topics on this, but I’m wondering how much longer you guys think.
I’m in western NC (mountains)
Blue Cheese from ILGM
5 gallon buckets with Fox Farms soil and nutes.
Started them end of May
5 plants, each pic is from one of the plants
A buddy who grows says that they are almost there, maybe chop on Friday? I have been flushing them for the last week. We’ve had a lot of rain the end of the summer, and got some bud rot in one of the biggest colas, but got that taken care of quickly (cut it off and put fans on the plants).
I’m very excited since this is my first time and I think I did fairly well. Been reading this forum a ton and learned a lot. Anywho thanks for taking a look.
So I ended up harvesting almost 2 weeks after I posted this. Reason why I didn’t wait longer was that hurricane Ian was suppose to hear straight for us. I didn’t really have a great spot to put them besides inside my house lol. Not really an option with my son around. So I dried it for about 10-14 days, and yeilded about 27ozs. I put some in mason jars with a humidifier pack (I burped those), and some in grove bags. It’s still curing, but what I’ve smoked, its pretty good. Gave some samples out to buddies, and I’ve got nothing but rave reviews. One buddy said its just as good as what we buy around here, which is all from Cali.
I learned a lot, and I’ll be more prepared for next year. One thing i learned was trimming sucks big time. I trimmed about 20 ozs by myself. I ended up not trimming the last 7 ounces and just but in bags as that was the driest. Giving that out to some buddies who cook it. I just cooked up a batch (1 oz) of coconut oil today.
Anyway, thanks for all the advice (I read a lot). Cheers to all.
Way to go @mitch3814 , very nice to hear it worked out for you and that you were able to harvest so much! Congratulations, and here’s to your next grow!
