Happy Frog runoff test

The new 420 FastBuds grow is coming along just fine so far. There at 25 and 30 days old. (I’m assuming that leaves me somewhere in the last week of veg)

I’ve noticed many different characteristics from this fast buds breeder that is so far different than what I’m typically used to.

A couple of the plants have already started the flower in the early part of the last week of veg. Some have already started their stretch.

It’s amazing how incredibly small fast Bud genetics are in height. They seem to move a little faster then what I’m used to making it slightly challenging trying to implicate certain techniques that would normally be administered at a later time.

It definitely keeps your pencil sharpened for sure. One thing I truly like about fast Bud genetics, There stems are noticeably fatter and harder than what I’m used to. I’m almost considering not using silica as I don’t really see the need for it.

Despite the little soil issue with my Happy Frog early in the grow with the ridiculous pH swing, the girls have bounced back super fast from the solution without any pH issues reoccurring.

Today I’ll be adjusting all the low stress training and Tea-Bagging all my ladies. I like to do this right before the stretch kind of pre-flowering end the veg. Just remember, if you are not Tea-Bagging your girl, someone else is!

@Cap_Ron I think about Hellraiser every day I am in my grow room! I consider myself very lucky to have gotten on-line and met him at the time he was here. I do miss him, He was a wealth of info!

@Lostgirl i just got some of the liquid seaweed to add to my grow that you had recommended to @Slingoman do you add that on water days or feed days or both thanx for any info in advance :grin::metal:

@Zudnikd2
I use 2-1/2 ML per gal on every feed. I simply add it to my nutrient mix. It doesn’t raise the PPM/EC numbers very much either.

Thanx :metal:keep em growing sis, your plants are great by the way :grin:

I have a couple purple lemonade that’s really giving me a fit. However, they’re the biggest plants with the fattest buds. Trying to get them to 100% has not been a very easy task whatsoever

@Zudnik

Not sure if you knew or not. But you can follow my current grow here

I love that trim tray myself…I did however find this thing at Michaels (the sets n crafts store). it’s the same thing 150 micron steel mesh, but it’s for scrapbooking, glitter or something. It was 9.99. I’ve found buying stuff not designed for weed, is CHEAP!!!

I have a simple question for ya…What kind of grow bag(brand) you have here …I like the height of them 3 gl I assume ?? and the black trays/saucers (name of co.) under your risers… my store only had the riser and the flimsy clear plastic trays :thinking: :thinking: :thinking:… those look like a perfect fit! again nice thread n happy growin!! at least the last half / thurd are close ;>!

Welcome @lovenature unfortunately @Cap_Ron is no longer with us on this forum i’ll try to do my best to answer your questions

That is a 3 gallon bag and I believe he got those on Amazon. There are tons of those bags in all different sizes as far as brand goes there’s no one better than the next in my opinion. I used the cheap ones and I’ve used the expensive ones no difference

As for the black tray at the bottom of his plant I do believe that is a bottom feeding/watering unit and not a drip tray.

I can appreciate your frustrations with the cheap little plastic thin drip pans but I still use them. One of the best systems that I made is with a turkey pan and a Pepsi 2 L bottle crate it makes the best catch pan system.

They do make thicker black catch trays in different sizes that can also be found on Amazon

If you need additional assistance please feel free to ask. :v:

TY for the reply this will be my 2nd ever grow so I may have more questions for you . I’m in a 3x3 shower so space will be of a premium.

Yeah It seems ,for me, It’s diff. to find “taller ones” the ones I bought are short and wide…doesn’t seem like a lot of room for the tap root if that matters at all.?

Those are about five inches taller. If you’re growing in a tent that’s a bad thing that puts you 5 in closer to your light.

I personally use the 3 gallon short bags to grow all my auto flowers in I never have a problem with roots

However if you’re stuck on the taller bags I use this brand all the time they are fantastic these are the taller ones you seek

Be sure you look up the measurements somewheres on the page. The reason I say this, that product tends to picture one thing and describe another food for thought
