Plants: O-1: OG Kush; O-3: OG Kush; G-1: Girl Scout Cookies
Grown from seed: Photoperiod
Tent: Vivosun 2 × 4 × 5
Light: ViparSpectra XS-2000
Fan(s): AC Infity A9 inline fan; a few other little clip-on fans, for added air circulation
Growing medium: Coco-coir + perlite + vermiculite.
Nutrients: “Black Magic,” brand Base A + Base B + Cal-Mag; “General Hydroponics,” brand pH up, and pH down.
Notes/Progress:
This is my 3rd indoor grow. It is my first time using coco coir, rather than regular soil. Also my first time growing in a proper tent, with proper lighting, etc. Alot of firsts for me, this go-around! I have struggled a little bit with keeping the soil pH dialed-in, and of course overwatering. Also: When I went to transplant them into 3-gal pots, I used up the last of my coco coir. It wasnt even enough to properly transplant one; so thats why there’s not nearly enough soil in the two 3-gal pots, in the later pics. This grow is currently in it’s 5th week; and I am about to begin adding 1 hour of darkness per day, until 12/12, to initiate flowering, starting tomorrow. I will post pictures, though, of the progress from seedlings, up until now.
I began this grow on 3/27/22. Here are the girls at about week one:
And here they are, about a week past that (around 4/9/22):
Here they are, during early veg:
This is from around 4/24:
All of the previous pictures were from before I got my new tent/light/fan setup, and so: It was substandard conditions, for growing cannabis. Obviously. But: One does what one must! These next pictures are from today, 5/1/2022; and they show my plants in their new/current environment:

Thank you! In the early pictures (Before today), they are under 4 of the cheap, dinky little single-bulb LED grow lights, by GE, that I found at a Lowe’s store. They do okay, for seed/veg. They come in a white, for veg; or a red, for flower. I would always use a combination. Now, in the grow tent: They are under a single ViparSpectra XS-2000.

Looking good, curious on dialing down an hour a day to 12/12 and so soon? I see 3 in a small space and an early flip helps with that but 6 weeks from breaking ground (4 week veg) is the soonest I would recommend personally
And go straight to 12/12

There’s a number of reasons. The 2 OG Kush plants are already going into flower, of their own accord (They’re NOT autoflower, so, I have no idea why
). Also, Im trying to keep them from getting very big, as I don’t want to smell up my neighborhood.

Thank you! I appreciate that!
Yeah, i know: I ran into a number of issues, simultaneously, that forced me to flip them a little early. Live and learn, right?

Only trying to help Growmie. Every hour spent in veg is every hour they’re getting bigger. They’ll double in size when the stretch hits at 7-10 days after the 12/12 flip

Word, and I totally appreciate the feedback! My next grow, I will DEF let them veg longer, and get bigger. I had kinda panicked, you see, when I got my new tent, and then the light, JUST as the girls are getting a bit too crowded in that tiny ass box I made, as you noticed
Unfortunately (Because I’m poor, and have to buy my equipment one item at a time), I hadn’t got the inline fan, yet. And it was too hot, without it. That portable a/c you see in the tent runs for 12 hours, maximum. That leaves 6 hours, where the heat was sometimes reaching 84-90 degrees, Fahrenheit. Long story short: I had already germinated another plant, to start in that small box. A sativa, no less
I decided to just hurry up, and flip those ones. They’re small, yes. But: They’ll stretch, as they shift into flower. That light is already as high as it can go, unless/until I rig up something, to raise it even higher. And that one plant is already about as close as she needs to be to that light, according to the manufacturer’s specs.
We’ll see what happens, eh?
Here is some more pictures, from last night:
