OG Kush not flowering

New member and first time grower.
I started 4 Northetn Lights autos and one photo OG Kush in a greenhouse in late March.

At about 10 weeks i moved them into my new 4’x4’× 80" tent with 2 100w led grow lights and 4" filtered ventilation.

The NLA’s are almost ready to harvest, but the OGKush has grown 7-8" and is putting on new leaves, despite being on a 12/12 cycle for 4 weeks and being fed GH bloom nutes, with no flowers in sight.

The kush looks healthy, its getting nutes every other watering so every 4 days.
Temp has been unregulated and is in the 80’s most days, and 60’s most nights.

Ideas?
TIA.

Welcome to the forum! Are you seeing any signs of sexual maturity?

In me or the Kush? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Me, not so much, but at 61 I’m a lost cause.
My OGK though is definitely female.

Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome to the forum. Only a few things cause a plant to stay in veg when the light is set to 12/12. One would be that the plant has not reached sexual maturity. Usually about 30 or 40 days after sprouting. Another is a light leak at night…would not affect the other plants because they are autos. Surprisingly, I see a lot of people on here have their timer set wrong and the plants are getting more than 12 hours of liight or their dark period is being interupted by a period of lights on…only takes one missed segment on the tiimer to stop it from flowering.

My two cents.

But is she showing maturity? I can’t tell from the single closeup provided. Are you seeing pistils anywhere?

Thanks for the question Bobby. I am brand new at this, as this is my first grow.

From looking at this drawing, and comparing it to my plant, i thought that what i was seeing were pistils. I dont see anything resembling pollen sacs.

Im here to learn, so im open to whatever insight you can offer.

Yep she’s sexually mature. Here are her naughty bits

Just give her more time on 12/12 and make sure the lights are off for 12 consecutive hours and not popping on during the lights off period.

Hello and welcome I see your getting some great advice already. And from what I’ve read I would say your on the right side of things..

But I also am in a 4x4 Tent and if you don’t want airy buds or super spaced node sites your gonna need more then 200 watts to run that tent. I was running 500w in mine,it produces but not what it could be. I’ve since upgraded to 750w light.

Happy growing.

Riskguy i would have bet money that my lights in the tent were running 11am-11pm.

I double checked them today and some rookie (me) had them from 9am-11pm.

I now have them 11 on 13 off because im all about over compensating. :grin:

Hopefully that kicks Miss OG into flower!

Thanks for the help!

Dan thanks for the info!
Its actually a 5x4 but the 1x4 is a separate cell. I have another 100w in there with 3 autos. Maybe i should put them all in one room? I’ll start looking at another light option as well.

During flower you want between 32-45w per square foot. So you take your square foot of your tent , multiple that by the number of watts you want to get the watts you need for the space

So you would take,

16x32=512.
16x35=560.
16x40=640.
16x45=720.

Like I said I was running 500w in same size got ok results but it’s always better to have too much power then not enough.

And as for lights this is who a lot of people are using, great customer service. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

The Refurbished HLG 550 V2 Rspec and 2 of your 100w lights in that tent will be 700w+ would be more than enough.

You are gucci. I run a 12/12 tent always. Mix auto photo. Some photo from seed. Photo can veg quite a bit before mature. Auto are just auto. A month and bang preggers. Wait her out.
I agree on you being weak on light.

I pray I am wrong but y’all take a close look at the pics where the fans are covered in small white dots. That is exactly how my plants infested with spider mites looked before I actually noticed the mites. I do not see any when I zoom in so hopefully I am wrong but with that many plants in there would hate to have not thrown it out there as a possibility to look closer and mitigate if those little critters are present.

This is exactly why I use digital smart plugs impossible to mess up the light cycle just set it to on at noon off at midnight

I’ll have to look into that when I need a replacement…I have my stoner moments…and sometimes make stoner mistakes. Anything that makes a grow “stoner proof” is a positive in my opinion.

I bought 2 timers and have one set 18/6 and second for flower 12/12. Lights set to go out at same time. Just plug an go :joy:

I’ll look into those. One plant had a little web between yhe topbud and a sugar leaf the other day. I just assumed some determined spider infiltrated my tent.

I’m sure i can Google it, but whats the prefered method of eradicating them?
And does treatment effect smokability?

Ive seen on another site some people dunk there entire plants in something and rinse them prior to cutting/ curing. Seems strange to get them so wet?

Well I myself never hand them well yet :joy:, I’m fighting fungus nats lol and * Neem oil:

Neem oil suffocates mites and disrupts their life cycle, making it a good option for treating infestations.

Or diatomaceous earth.

Anything more then that idk but ,

@Caligurl if I’m not mistaken maybe able to help.
