Growmore Dank's Grow Journal

Rocks should be a cash crop. Scaling the steep slopes with a weed trimmer and your foot comes down on a rock and you are gone.

Yup!! Exactly! They aren’t even useful rocks… just big enough to roll your ankle on

Exactly! They just keep migrating up out of the mountain. It’s amazing. And annoying.

Yes! I tell everyone that we grow rocks! The turkeys scratch them to the surface and the water runoff just um-buries of rest them.

I thought they were… landscaping, fish tanks, ponds, etc …and pricey to boot! At least around here.

Not these worthless rocks. :joy: The landscapers pay to get rid of them so that folks can buy new rocks. :joy: What a scam! :joy:

@Growmoredank good evening my friend it’s been awhile I’m glad to see things is going well for you the fence is beautiful. And that is one pretty good how would I enjoyed spending Father’s Day with you. We could have smoked some of that and tried some of this Kool-Aid breath that I have. And though we both did have a good Father’s Day that would even made it better. :face_with_spiral_eyes::face_with_spiral_eyes::smiley::waving_hand::clinking_beer_mugs::clinking_beer_mugs::victory_hand:

Thanks for checking in bro. :folded_hands:t2::smiling_face_with_sunglasses:Sorry I’ve been MIA, but the last few months have been busy and stressful. Mom passed away in May and there was a lot leading up to that. It’s hard to watch someone you love deteriorate. Fortunately I had a lot of time with her and to prepare for it. Been busy since then working to rebuild our family (you remember all the bs) and get through probate. I have managed to do some gardening this season though. That’s awesome about you getting the app on Google. I wish I could have been more helpful with testing but things were already overwhelming. I’ll definitely be getting on it once things get settled and I get setup indoors. I hope everyone is healthy and happy your way bro. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses::+1:t2:

@Shadegrown

I feel your pain with the estate stuff…I finally finished in January…got screwed.

I wish my family relationships had headed down your path… ultimately, they just wanted me to play along with their bs, completely fooled me into thinking we were all going to be a family again. It was horrible.

I finally got it out of my head enough to finish Hortus…adding ai…well added some basic ai…now upgrading it. It’s a lot of work.

Before I just collected quality pics put them in folders of different classes…then train…easy but hit a wall as far as how accurate I could get it.

So now I am changing it to object detection…which means I must take each picture and put a bounding box over each part that defines that class…each box is labeled a class name…so now I am working on the sexing ai…so the classes are: closer image required, female, hermie, male, too early to tell, and finally…not cannabis. Which was “not a plant”.

Once I box all the parts on each image… I have designed an ai algorithm, and have been using Python and custom scripts I designed to train the ai model. Once trained…validated and tested…I will know it’s accuracy…once trained to an accuracy of 97% or better it will be at production quality…and I’ll add it to the app in beta…test for a couple of weeks then if all is well…release to the public.

Then move on to the next…which I have slated for the trichome analyzer…I should have started with the trichome…after doing the work I have a much better idea of time-frames now…

Bounding boxes:
Before boxed…

After this image is completed…

I just completed Hermie, and currently working on male.

@Growmoredank good evening my brother you ask where am I? I’m assuming you mean where am I from I live in Louisiana. Down here in the hot humid territory. :waving_hand::waving_hand::victory_hand::victory_hand:

Dam dude you’ve been putting in the work with this app! It’s gonna be a game changer when it’s all said and done.

Hola @MadamCalamity how the heck are you?

Once I got into the ai and found that the first option wasn’t accurate enough…I then went down the rabbit hole of ai solution companies…roboflow was what pissed me off enough to take on the whole thing by myself.

Companies like Roboflow nickel and dime you to death…just for up to 5 devices…meaning I could sell their ai as part of my app but once five people were using it…I would be up to my limit on users…then of those… I’d have to pay per image detection submitted…or pay per click.

They make ai seem so easy but in order to actually have an ai app you can distribute you have to pay thousands to be an enterprise level business…

I talked to a salesman from their…he got so cocky with me…I took his advice…and “go ahead a develop your own” if you don’t like the terms.

Luckily I did all the algorithms and coding already…
Just have to build and accurate model now…by labeling pics.

You guys growing again yet?

I am still holding off out of paranoia of the new area.

I hope yourself and @Low have a great weekend!
