I germinated 2 seeds at the same time. The pink runtz took off, and that one is now in veg in my 2x2 tent. The other seed, norther lights, germinated but promptly died (possibly due to me underwatering it). I tried germinating another via paper towel method, it sprouted a tap root, gave it annother day to progress before moving it to soil, but it stopped growing. I put into soil, but no dice. Still nothing. Conditions were good, too. Long explanation to ask:
Since I’m growing in one tent, and one plant is already in veg (just under 2 weeks old) is it too late to try popping another Northern lights and growing in tent? I do have a separate light I can use to get new plant into veg before adding to tent…
If they are autos you can run plants at different stages, if photos…you have control of when to flip and can give time for the new plant to grow. You can train the exisiting plant while you catch the younger one up. either way…not to late if you do it now
Are you flowering in that 2x2 as well? You’d be better off with 1 plant in that space if that’s the case. This is 1 plant in a 2x2. Ran out of room and started growing back towards the middle
Space limitations are really your only concern. Front left in this pic is a northern lights that is a good 2-3 weeks behind the rest due to similar circumstances, I went ahead and got her goin then flipped lights to flower when the tent started getting full. I would have like for her to have a little more time to grow and catch up but it’ll all work out in the end she’s just a little smaller.
I will flower in the same tent. I knew it would be a bit tight, but This is only my 3rd (and if I am successful germinating) 4th plant I’ve ever grown. I haven’t gotten anything near that big yet. Based on the last Grandaddy purp plant I grew, I would have space for two so figured I’d give it a go this time. Thanks for sharing the pic. Looks amazing
If I have a shorter plant, I just raise it up to be even with the rest of the canopy. This picture is from today. The two closest plants are 10 days apart in age, just raised the smaller one…the funny thing is…the taller plant on the right is ten days younger than the short plant on the left.
I am going to a system where each plant has its own sh2000 light. 200 true watts per light. That way I can raise lower each light to the plants needs. Should allow for putting photoperiod in at different intervals and hights. This will be a flower tent only. Always changing and experimenting with things.
Just a reservoir to mix in, made 1/2” hose halos around each plant and drilled holes in them, manifold in middle with valve to each plant. Also has a return line that I use to mix everything and relieve pressure to the halos.
