Cold front here in Carolina. Hard time keeping my temp stable. Growing in a 4x2 with 150watt led@18inches. Humi on and everything any suggestions? Note for the last three days I’ve been running my lights @24hrs then back to 18hrs when the cold calm down. Help
Just how cold is it getting when lights are off?
The plants are hardy and will recover from anything but freezing temperatures. Might not be optimum growth but they won’t die.
48 degrees when lights out before cold front weather came in. So i knew I needed to do something. So that why I put it on 24hr light. Nc doesnt stay cold. My seedling is only 6days old
Sorry but 48F sustained temperature is going to completely stunt your grow and slow it down to a crawl
With a seedling I’d look at moving it someplace warmer. It doesn’t require much light at that age.
I use a seedling heating mat with a dome on a tray. The heat mat will keep it warm.
Just a heads up, but ACInfinity has come out with a germination/cloning “system” which is a self contained starter tray that has seedling heating mat, heavy plastic tray with nicely vented dome, and a 28 watt light using the latest Samsung diodes. It can be used anywhere and so far has provided me with 100% germination/seedling survival and cloning rate. It’s only $90 but now sold out
Great ideas I’m get that heating mat asap! There’s a propagation dome similar tothe ac infinity you speak of on Amazon for $60 but sure ac is better!
Do you have a small space heater you can put on a low setting?
Be very careful with ceramic heaters… perhaps just get a small hot oil one. Dry leaf matter/dust can blow into them and combust. Those things scare me
