Growing dispensary weed question

A friend of mine had (2) 3.5g of “Daystripper” and gave me the seeds she discovered out of both bags so I ran them all hoping to get 3 solid females. The seeds looked healthy and normal but i’m now worried they came from a herm plant. Can I still grow fine pine even if that were the case? Thanks.

The only way to find out is to grow them and see what happens. They look healthy so far.

Just an update on this group of Day Stripper× UNKNOWNs. I got a feeling this is a intermediate or pros job but i think im up for it xd. I like to think the two taller, more finicky ones are the males i’ll need to remove when i know for certain.

I started a grow a few weeks ago. looking for a 4 plant grow. I sprouted two feminized seeds so I know they are females. I also sprouted 3 regular seeds I got as freebies and an old bag seed (at least 5 years old) Out of those four I figured I would get two females. After two weeks I sent out leaf samples from those four for genetic testing for sex. I used Leafworks. All 4 came back as female!..so now I have 6 plants…gonna grow 1 outside the tent and 5 inside. It will be tight but I’ve done it before.

I will watch the bag seed plant closely. I have the same concern as you…if the parent herm’d (assumption) then the child may also have that trait. We will know early next year. Good luck to you.

@SammySnakeskins I do not have a journal going on this site…but do have one on the sister Grow journal site (link at the top of any forum page). I’ll drop in on you too as I see postings. Here is link to one I have started.

Side note: sister site is barely functional these days which is a bummer, I have 20 journals on there.

1-99 sex tests for $15?!?! What in the actual shit! Guess i found a new essential grow tool for regs. Thanks so much!

It is $15 each for clarification.

Oh did i have that wrong. That does change things.

Maybe ill just have the two suspected males tested

It sounds like you’ve got an interesting project going with those Daystripper seeds! If they did come from a herm plant, you might see some instability, but you can still grow them successfully. Just keep an eye on those taller plants—if they show signs of being male, you can remove them to focus on the females. Good luck!

So I end up answering my own question with some potential words of encouragement. 5 minutes of research indicates that the seeds of any female plant that herms are all inherently female and as long growth from said seeds is not stressed in the very same way the mother plant was to induce seed production, the plant may not herm. In simplest terms, they’re just lesser feminized seeds.
