Thanks brother. Predicated.
Finally received new planters and a bunch of fittings…will still need to goto store to fit this altogether and be able to add soil to start cooking hopefully by tomorrow
Assembly required…no thank you.
There’s always assembly required…even though I just went to Home Depot and didn’t grab parts
Looks like it’s going to be a awesome set up though, can’t wait to see it in action
Those are quite large buddy
Gonna be some nice grows
I’ve been looking for something of this size and quality for awhile now!
Man what I would give for a grow space like this. One day…
Alright so decided to not finish setup yesterday but start working on making a autofill float valve system for these food cubes . Now in all honesty I bought one from the manufacturer to reverse engineer and crazy part is in all parts might cost 30-45$ usd….they sell these for 200$….
What they have here is an inline float valve for intake from water source.
2 90 degree elbows with threaded connectors , a tee that has a bushing for the float to thread into and that leads out to a threaded connecting into a camlock fitting
Put together a soil and finally starting the coding process ….19 cubic feet of soil, 1 cubic ft perlite
5 cups fish bone meal
5 cups crab and lobster shell
5 cups kelp meal
2 1/2 cups neem seed meal
15 cups basalt rock dust
10 cups oyster flour
15 cups granular humic acid
10 cups fulvic acid
Will add mycorrihizal with 1st watering
1 down 1 to go…
Does anyone cover their souls to cook?
Souls…soil*
Got it looking good plants should be happy in that
Sure hope so! They’ve been finicky in the hydro lately
Bet that soil has some kinda smell i know i used some Dr earth and that stuff stunk to high heavens
My wife spent some time trying to figure out WTH it was. I have exhaust fans goin at 10 and the outside smells like something died
24hours in, added mycos and misted the soil with water with a drop of blackstrap molasses , then turned the mycos in and misted the top again.
I covered the bins with some panda film white side up and punched holes in that so bacteria can breathe abit
Well I found out the humidifier does t work anymore yesterday. Bought 3 yr warranty and instead of replacing they reimbursed me the cost of the unit.
I was able to get it working again for all of 5 mins this morning…. Not sure issue but I’ve read online that hard water is an issue and tends to blow whatever is left in it back out. Calcium, lime etc…
Ahh yes. This is the grow room that inspired me to gut my basement and add a grow room as part of the rebuild. I had to lay off growing for a year but it was worth it.
Thanks @PharmerBob!
