Wasn’t too bad for a first time ever, But here I go for another one, Using the same closet but going to modify it a bit
Currently what I’m working with, Have all 8 lights now, Took in the suggestion on the flat white paint also, needs another coat plus the top and bottom lol
I’m gonna cut out that middle shelf and attempt to just keep the lights where they are and move the plant down as it grows. For now we have our ancient box fan blowing air down, it has kept the temps down by about 5*, will slight vibration affect growth at all?
This is where we currently are at, Little under a week from plant and it’s already way further along in growth than the last one!
Haven’t got nutrients just yet, Still having some money issues but within the next week or so we should be getting the fox farms trio and working with that.
Welcome back @OOBrien89 Looking good. Your girl might be just a tad overwatered she’s drooping a little. But she’ll be fine. Let that soil dry out good, in between waterings!
Depends, do you like a social buzz or thrown to floor buzz? Social: green crack, tastes good, feels good healthy plant.
Thrown down: chronic widow or gold leaf. Haven’t tried either but have High hopes. I grew Ak47 & Amnesia haze on first grow. They call Amnesia a cash crop
@Laurap Suggestion on nutrients I meant to say. My wife and I are moving end of september so this would be the last plant we’d grow until I can scope out neighbors and whatnot at our new place.
@bob31 Honestly don’t know what strain it is, was a bag seed. Sadly won’t really know if it’s all worth it until we start seeing some signs of gender, I completely understand that lol.
As far as being on a budget, yes, I budget hard lol. Should see my car audio I’ve done on a budget haha. I did look into both companies and from what I’ve found, GH has a trio for $23 in 3 one pint bottles, and FF has one for $36 but 32oz bottles, These are amazon sellers also.
I’m using the general hydroponics. I think they’ll last forever. Others here use it as well. Money being tight I’d go with gh. The girls seem to like it and I haven’t had any nutes burns.
Hope this hrlps
Here we are at 2 weeks! Starting to see 7 leafs on this one vs the 5 leafs on my first grow. Just watered last night, soil was pretty dry 1 1/2 inches down. Humidity is slightly on the rise around 48% (Ignore that single humidity gauge, Starting to think it’s broke lol) and temps have dropped around 72 degrees. Still on a 24/0 light schedule though.
As far as nutes go, We’ll be going with th GH here in a few days, got a side job to do and money from that will be going into this.
I don’t know if it is the pics, but I’m seeing a slight taco of the leaves. Maybe high temps or the light a tad too close? @OOBrien89 could be genetics of the plant too, but just food for thought!
Leaves look better today, still a little bit of it going on with the newer leaves, Starting to debate switching it to a 18/6 lighting schedule. Would giving the leaves a light mist help at all?
Waiting on that next set of leaves to poke out a bit more before I top her, Looking to top 2 or 3 times. going to attempt to make this grow in sort of a rectangle type shape due to minimal depth of my cabnet.
Also, if anyone has any insight to defoliation, I’m all ears, read a little bit into it and was thinking it may help me more with the limited space I have to help build up bud count along with training.
@OOBrien89 Any leaves touching the soil should be removed.
It still looks like those leaves are taco’ing You may want to bump those lights up another notch for a day or so. You plant nodes are wicked compact so a little stretch won’t hurt anything. I’m not sure if it is the strain or the lights…
What are your lights?
I am running 14/10 based on the recommendations of a long time grower. I ran a 24/0 lighting and I have decided to go with 14/10 as i found no benefit to the extra electricity!
At this age your plants will not benefit from misting.
Lights are 8 6500k 23 true watt CFL’s, I have 6 2700k 23w also for the flowering stage, Last grow I left 2 6500’s in with the 6 other 2700’s upon suggestion from another member, and cause I dropped 2 on accident and they broke lol.
I wasn’t sure if a light mist may help subdue the taco’ing or not lol, was an idea, and I’ll bring the plant down a bit more, Lights are kinda on a “Stuck where they are” location, but the cabnet does allow me to move the shelfup or down.
taco on the leaves can be caused for two different reasons, the heat from the lights being too hot or being too close to the light and the intensity causes them to stress. @OOBrien89
Misting under intense lights makes the droplets appear like magnifiers and can burn the leaves.
Totally forgot that droplets can do that @bob31 but I just got home and brought the plant down a good 3 inches, I’ll give another update in a day or so.
