Just got first grow tent it’s only 4 feet high because of my crawl space height. Anyway usage instructions are poor, so I have questions. Any information about operating it would be great.
Here are some of questions I have.
1 it has vents on the bottom when should they be opened or should they remain closed?
2 It doesn’t have any openings on the bottom for things like air and autopot water line, do I just cut a tiny hole in tent?
3 How is the fan supposed to be aimed and at what speed and distance?
Any info about anything related would be appreciated. Some questions might sound silly but I’ve been learning to ask first then proceed.

Vents should be open to some degree to supply fresh air, unless using an inline fan to supply. They also help with adjusting temps and rh to an extent.

If you do cut a hole, be sure it is sealed to prevent light leaks. I’m guessing it doesn’t have all the holes taller tents do because of it’s own height. It’s going to be really hard in a 4ft tent to veg and flower a plant. Consider 1ft plant vessel, 3-4inch riser and lights hanging 6" or so, you’ll be left with about 2 feet of height for your plant. It can be done. @OGIncognito can definitely give you some pointers tho.

Just have fan angled so that is moves the plant a little, but not directly on it, blasting it.
Hope this helps!
Appreciate the tag Brother Ryan. @Adam1jam to flower an auto with approximately 2’ can be challenging but with early and continuous LST. For this I would too above the 3rd or 4th and and remove the growth below #2.
Could you clarify the part from LST on down, not quite understanding it. I’m very much a new-be.
Low Stess Training. If you’ll zoom in you’ll see tent stakes pinning the branches down. This helps keep the plant short and after several inches of of growth I use tie wire to tie the branches off to the pot
Thanks I get it now… Could a person try growing 2 plants in a 24”x24” tent?
I can be done but air flow would be a concern.
Before cutting holes in a brand new tent, you can try just running them out the door at a corner in the bottom where the zipper would close if that’s an option with that tent. Then just zip it shut to the hoses and call it a day. As @Borderryan22 mentioned, light could be an issue with photoperiods when you flip them to flower, but crawlspaces are generally pitch black dark anyway. Or a rag could just be stuffed around the hoses at the zipper. Sounds redneck, but I hate cutting holes in brand new stuff just to change my mind a couple weeks later while I’m still learning the ropes.
Good idea, I’ll do that instead of cutting. This is why I learned to ask questions first.
