OK so this is my first post and this is my first grow so for the pros take it easy on me LOL!!! this is my set up and then I have a few questions at the end
32 x 32 x 64 mylar grow tent I’m using an 8 inch fan(low speed) located at the top of the tent CFM 200 soil mother earth cocoa and perlite 3 gallon soft pots 4 inch air filtration kit 1 LED light 1000 W 200 PCS full spectrum 18/6 380nm- 780nm consumption 190 W 1000 W HPS/MH… PH 5.8 PPM veg stage 750 tap/filter water with With Bergman plant food no humidifier no dehumidifier being used at this time the humidity is 40% I’m using auto flower seeds growing 1 of each gold leaf blueberry AK white widow Can I unzip the tent door when the lights are on for fresh air? during darkness time should I keep a fan on inside the tent and do I let any air get in the tent or do I seal it up completely so no light gets in ? my LED 1000w is it OK for my tent size Gold leaf plant is two weeks ahead of the other three with the light change coming soon 12/12 can I just pull the gold leaf out tent when it goes in the flowering and put it in a dark closet until the other three catch up on the 12/12 cycle? The plant food I’ve only used the seedling fertilizer and the grow time fertilizer I don’t have mold or insects so when’s a good time do use the route protection? any feedback would be helpful thanks
Light schedule shouldn’t make any difference no matter which week with autos. I have seen where some people run 24/7 or 18/6 with autos.
Welcome aboard ! nice looking plants. You can leave tent door open for fresh air. But you will eventually need exhaust fan. If you’re concerned about odor.
The autos aren’t light sensitive like the photos. Your light may be a little close for the smaller plants, should be like 24" maybe right now.
The filtration / ventilation with carbon filter to scrub the smell isn’t enough i still need exhaust fan?
I’d get a humidifier if i was you…
@Gmb2112 Okay, my bad. I see your exhaust fan and carbon filter hanging in top of tent. When you decide to close the tent door . Open one of the pass throught holes at the bottom of a tent. At that point with exhaust fan running. You should have negative pressure inside tent. Which will control odor,You can exhaust outside. If you have variable speed on your fan adjust accordingly, so the sides of the tent are sucked in. For negative pressure inside. Your exhaust fan will also be pulling fresh air in as it exhausts hot stale air out the top. You’re basically using one fan to do both jobs. Hope that helps good luck.
Ok so when I close tent the bottom left side I open the port hole u can’t see when the door is pull back I do have a fan from the top of tent port hole pushing air into the tent and have the ventilation system on !! Hopefully that’s what u were recommending thanks for ur
Feedback
No. Using your exhaust fan to pull a vacuum inside the tent. Which will suck fresh air In the port hole at the bottom. You can put your hand down at the hole on the outside an feel it pulling the air in. and at the same time exhausting hot stale air out the top. Some people do run a inlet fan and and a outlet fan you can do it either way.
Welcome from another new indoor grower. I have 4 girls in a 48x40x60 and don’t think i would do more than 3 at a time because of height restriction and stretch space. I will be buying a bigger tent and use this as a dryer and nursery. I will be following your progress…
Do I not keep the 8” cooling fan (on)when ventilation fan is (on )
Iv been running them both Together sometimes !! if I only run Ventilation I do get the walls sucking in on tent when cooling is on at the same time kinda balances it out where the walls are not sucking in as much !
Yes @Gmb2112 Keep your fans inside tent running. Keep air moving. That will head off any problem with mold or mildew. I use two 6 inch . Plus exhaust fan.
Ok thanks for the advice really appreciate it
You’re very welcome ! Anytime Happy growing.
As long as you’re getting some sucking in your at negative pressure. I’d move your inlet fan to the lower port.
