Does anyone leave their tent partially open when lights are on? I have a 4 inch and 6 inch exhaust. If I run the 4 inch and keep my tent closed, it can’t keep up with the high temperature from my light. If I use the 6 inch, then the humidity drops down to like 30% and my humidifier can’t keep up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I bought piece of duct work that slid right inside mine and ran flex duct for AC…

Fans only increase air circulation. You need to increase air throughput through the tent to manage temp or RH. More air in and more air out.

Your tent has vents on it open them up…
Raise your humidity level will also get your temps down…

Increase airflow via both input (bottom vents) and output (top vents.)

Maybe I’m an idiot but I’m not understanding. So keep my 4 inch exhaust at the top vent and use the 6 inch at the bottom vent?

What size tent are you using? One 6 inch exhaust fan will turn over more air than needed in a 4x4 tent with no problem.
I’m in a 5x5. This is my first grow in it. I feel like the environment was much easier to control in my 4x4. I don’t know how to stop my 6 inch exhaust from sucking out all the humidity. I mean it drop from 55% to 30% in just a minute or two. Makes no sense.

Then if I use the 4 inch and keep my tent closed the temp goes in the mid 80s. It’s a lose, lose.
Hopefully you have your exhaust fan on a variable speed. I control the temperature and humidity in the lung room that I pull my fresh air out of 12x10
room with a 4x4 tent inside of the room .
I was assuming you were in my situation …
My tent was running hot cause temps outside here are rising…
AC works perfectly for me right now 3rd week since I have flipped to flower…
My temps while lights on are right around 80
And like 68-70 lights out…

I have the 4 inch on medium power but even on full power it’s not strong enough to keep the temperature in check with the tent closed. My lung room stays between 65-70. When I tried the 6 inch on low that’s what sucked out all my humidity.
