I have a 4x2 grow “tent”. It’s actually 1.5” insulation board that is inside an outside building. We have installed fans to exchange air inside the building. We can keep the area around 95 to 100 degrees . We have placed an air conditioner inside the grow room but I guess I need to know if I should vent in the hotter air. Really kinda lost on whatto do with in bound air.
Can’t move the grow room inside house.
You need to get the air outside of the “tent” cooler and the inside of the “tent” would be able to run cooler. You will want to exhaust the air inside of the tent outside of the grow room to keep temps lower. My house is 75 and the temperature in my tent stay around 78-81 which isn’t an issue with LED lighting. But with 95-100 On the outside of the grow tent it’s going to get hotter Inside.
Run the ac in the 95-100 degree room and see what happens inside the tent.
What you are explaining my friend is called a lung room @Bigcbud and that’s exactly how it works
Wasn’t this what they were asking about? Kind of confused by the question
I was just saying it’s called a lung room in case you or the original poster didn’t know… sorry for any kind of confusion ![]()

Oh alright lol what I get for doing two things at once I always thought lung room is where people smoked
Lung room, check.
Anybody have ideas on how to make this setup work well.
95-105 degree lung room. Worried about proper airflow using an AC
Thanks everyone. I appreciate the help. Great community!!!
One major thing you’ll want to keep an eye on is humidity swings. I attempted a tent in the garage grow. I added a window ac to the tent and when the ac was running it dropped the humidity substantially, and when it stopped the humidity would rise back up. Plants did not handle the constant humidity fluctuations well at all.
A lung room, as suggested would give you the best outcome. A room that you can keep a certain temp and constantly be feeding the tent and the tent constantly exhausting elsewhere.
That helps a lot. Thank you
I am designing the lung room right now.
