Thanks @Niala , I appreciate your kind words. It was really fun at the event. Outside of meeting with the very cool presenters, chatting with other experienced growers and absolute newbies was a blast overall.
I hope that they are able to start a Canadian Contingent group up there for you. My wifey travels to Canada intermittently for work and I’ve been to Vancouver a couple of times. Absolutely loved it and all of the people were just so very nice to me while there. Discovered LUSH soaps and products there before they were in the USA, and had much stuff shipped from them down to me. Nothing but the nicest things to say about my experiences in Canada.

Just wanted to see if there was any word on a potential date for the next Grow Club event? October is a busy month with birthdays (mine, brothers, and close friends), anniversary (38 years), Halloween (favorite holiday), and harvesting. Just wanted to try to keep a date cleared ahead of time if possible. Also, I wanted to suggest potentially looking at Long Beach as a possible city to have an event at. It’s at the lower end of Los Angeles County and the top end of Orange County, so you might have a larger pool of people to pull to the event. When I was doing trade shows and conventions, we found we had better attendance numbers because it was mid-point between the two. Hope that helps. Have a great day.

Halloween is my favorite holiday as well. Got my 12 ft Home Depot skeleton set up and everything! Also wife’s Bday (2nd), Anniversary is in four days (10 years on the 10th!), and harvesting myself.
We’re actually vetting a Long Beach location this week - it may be a little smaller but should still give us enough space. The Artist Tree also has a Hawthorne lounge - and a lot of people have been pushing San Diego (and Sessions By The Bay seems like a solid venue). Its starting to come together!

Very cool stuff, thank you. Congrats on the anniversary, we are also a 10/10 anniversary, 10/10/1987! Time flies for sure. People always ask, how long have you been married? My standard response is “ we’ve been happily married for 25 years! 25 out of 38 isn’t too bad, right?” Wifey punches me in the arm every time! Still worth it…lol Good luck on the harvest, hope you post some pictures.

Agreed, a little terse. Maybe had a bad day or someone peed in their Cheerios? I usually give everyone a second chance because I’ve had bad days too. But if it happens again, I’d take it personally. Hopefully it’s just a fluke.

I mean I can understand they don’t want to turn this into a “gangsta” fair, but I feel more “Peace & Love” vibes would be better for this event than “Snobbish” vibes.

Wasn’t trying to make any waves, just asked how the guys took it because it felt very snobish to me. Only reason I even reached out was to get information about the event so I could be making preparations to go to it. I haven’t ever been to any kind of official cannabis anything, never even been to a dispo. And figured that if I was ever gonna go to one it would have to be with ILGM. But maybe next time.

Totally get where you’re coming from! Tone can be hard to discern via IG, so we’re willing to give them the benefit of the doubt - but you flagging this is sincerely appreciated. These are the sort of things we can flag now to ensure they don’t become a trend. Our whole goal with Grow Club is to produce events that aren’t like what else is out there, ones that put education and community first that don’t feel gatekeep-y or exclusionary.
First event in VA is Saturday 11/8 from 4 to 8pm. Our second will be Saturday 12/13. Building the ticketing link for it as we speak, just snagging a bio for both the venue and Local Educator we have lined up.

Btw - we’re going to pivot the next LA event to 11/20. A little more time to ensure this is as strong as possible feels like the right move. Does that date work for you? Thanksgiving isn’t until the following week.

Thank you Sir. you are too kind. I really appreciate the gesture. Its the little things you know, like that, that really set ILGM apart from their competitors. So thank you all. I have really enjoyed our journey together these past few years. Theres definitely been a lb or two of some really beautiful buds come thru here. I cant wait to see what happens next grow.
