Bought my tickets several days ago. Is there a list of the people going from the forums? Just looking to see who might be there so I can say hello. Looking forward to the event.

I can’t determine who of the guests is on the forum. I could check the list manually - but it’d be easier if any one also coming confirms here (Roll call!)

I wouldn’t wanna make you do more work than you need to. Roll call is a good idea. Maybe going forward, that could be a sign-up question on the registration form.

ILGM FORUM MEMBER…Y/N?
FORUM NAME-______________

Just a thought.

Honestly, I feel like we should have a badge for forum members - so we can identify eachother in person

Appreciate the suggestion - will pass that along!

Getting ready for tonight. Hope to see some people there for the fun. Surprised that no one answered roll call. Oh well, the party must go on!

Hope you have a great time! I don’t think we have a lot of active members from your area. If you meet some cool peeps perhaps you could recommend they join.

Hey guys, just got back I know it’s late for you guys. I got two couples to sign up for the forums (watched them do it). Lots of fun and a great community bonding experience. I would suggest that the people who work on the events definitely be a lot stronger about bringing up the forums. It was mentioned like once during the presentations and that was all. I had a chance to speak on the microphone during the grow class and I brought up the forums, as well as talking to other individuals, couples, and vendors about joining, like Koa pre-rolls and vape pens. Looks like they are trying to do grow class once a month, I’ll schedule to be at the next one too. I really tried to represent the forums and encouraged everyone that I talked with to join for more growing knowledge and support. I’ll upload pictures tomorrow. Good times and fun was had by all. Jake from ILGM was cool and he seemed to be leading the event. Thanks guys.

Thanks for the recap! Still waiting on the footage and recap from Jake (@kuczeruk on the forum btw).

Happy to hear you were there to promote the forum also! And good suggestion to make sure to really point people to this community as well!

Well, that was a lot of fun. Such a good time and everyone was so nice. It was great being in a space with 50-60 people that all shared the same passion, and compassion, of wanting to grow and consume this plant. I’m lucky enough to live in a state where it is recreationaly legal to partake and grow. But even here, when at work, or even in social settings, it’s not something that you really talk about with others unless you are friends or fellow growmies. Imagine being in this space where that’s exactly what everyone was there to talk about. Very cool, uplifting, and socially bonding to be surrounded by very like minded and same goal oriented people. Can’t go into work and talk that freely with that many people.

Got to meet and speak with at length with the two instructors, Christina and Cae. Both so nice, and wonderful to share stories with. There were a ton of vendors and a lot of swag given out. I’ll post some pictures of the event and part of what was given out for participating. As a side note, they are planning on doing these across the country in different states. I would highly encourage you to try to participate if you get the opportunity. I understand that there are a lot of people who are cautious about going or say that they don’t like people overall, but it’s different when you have a shared mindset and purpose. It just means taking that first step to talk to like minded people.

Even though the grow class itself was very basic, as it was designed to be, (seed, paper towel, mist, baggie, dark for 48 hours), what surprised me the most was the thirst for knowledge and people being able to ask questions of the more experienced growers. Just like here in the forums, sometimes even the seasoned growers just need someone else to put their eyes on it and give an opinion or a confirmation. Even the presenters, although they talked about Monterey BT for caterpillars, hadn’t heard about or used Jacks Dead Bug, they ended up mentioning it and cycling between the two so the bugs don’t develop a tolerance because of one of the chats we had prior to the presentation. I learned that from here on the forums, shared it with them and they in turn shared it with the grow class. So see, you all got to participate and help others, even though you didn’t know it because we are a knowledge sharing community on these forums. Thank you all for that. And so many people just starting out, or hadn’t grown in 30 years because of kids/jobs/location, all of them hungry for knowledge so they can get it right.

It looks like they are trying to do the Grow Club LA once a month. I’ll continue to go as often as I can, but it is a couple of hours drive going up there. They also encouraged the new on-line Grow Club for those that can’t make it in person. Overall, a great time.

Jake from ILGM, and presenters Christina and Cae. Magic Dragon 10mg infused cocktail in the foreground. TASTY!:

Here’s some of the swag that was given out. There were also pre-rolls, vape pens, infusions, rolling papers, grinders, etc…:

And the biggest thing, a CannaVault. These run $25-40 for this size. They only had a limited number, but I was one of the first people there:

A fun time was had by all.

@kuczeruk , hey, I just wanted to say that I’m sorry that I didn’t make it back in to do the on camera interview. I went out to put more money in the meter on the street for my car. I opened my trunk to put the swag bag in, and there was a woman who had seen me and pulled up for my parking spot. She started honking when I didn’t get in the car. I had seen a closer spot to the event so I thought I would try to get closer as I was a few blocks away. When I pulled up, all the spots were taken. So I apologize. Looking forward to the next one, hopefully with better parking, meters only allowed 2 hours max. Thanks for a great event.

@Darran No problem at all! We’ll have more chances - and that’s always the case with WeHo parking, its a madhouse.

I’ve gotta say, YOU were a HIT!!! Cae and Christina both told me after “you’ve gotta get Darran and other Forum members to lead masterclasses, as clearly they are pros and have a ton of knowledge to share”. Your willingness to engage really helped others to feel comfortable opening up. No egos just pure education and community building.

Needless to say, mission accomplished!!! Thanks again for making it out.

Thanks @kuczeruk , it’s hard to to be effusive and excited when talking about a subject we all care about. That was definitely one of the things that I got was the excitement from everybody involved. What a great time. Thank you and the ILGM team for making it a fun and great event. Let’s do it again!
