I am a relatively new grower with a question to the group. This will be my 3rd indoor grow I have 2x4x6 grow tent and and wanting to grow an ILGM Apple Fritter auto and ILGM Runtz photo together. I am thinking I keep the lights to 18/6 for 90 days or until the AF auto is ready and then flip to 12/12 for the Runtz photo. I figured topping and LST the Runtz to keep it in veg should make an exceptionally full girl and then let her rip in flower! What are the thoughts of the more experienced growers? Thanks much!
Your plan will absolutely work
I grow both photos and autos together. I focus on the photos and the autos are just along for the ride.
I don’t think my autos are effected one bit by being on 12/12 with the photos.
Great!! That’s what I was hoping to hear!! Amazing what you can learn reading in this forum. Thanks and happy growing!!!
Same as @1HappyPappy with my mixed runs. Typically all my autos start flowering around 42 days above above ground(week 4 in veg) and the time line I flip my photo period plants to initiate flower. Autos will flourish under the 12/12 light schedule
Thank you for the reply. I am running an auto and photo currently- a few days above ground now. Looking forward to the experience. Stay high and stay safe!
As mentioned above the auto wont care. Do what you will almost as long as stress free. They do what they want.
I would wait a month possibly longer before planting the photo. You don’t want to veg 90 days in that small space.
I do things and they live or die.
The goal is to get better, for there is so much to learn.
How did this turn out? Thinking about 2 photos and 3 autos in a 4by4
It worked well. I don’t have any pictures but everything was on 18/6 for 8 weeks during veg and then swapped to 12/12. I am still learning and improving with each grow. Ended up with about 4 oz off Runtz photo and 1.75 off auto. I have been playing with autos a lot it seems due to size and fast turn around. I will undoubtedly be trying it again! Thx ILGM for the support and information.
Afghan Autos in 5-gal bags and Hindu Kush photos in 3-gal bags.
Just starting winter indoor grow crop.
Not all will stay in this tent.
Looking good! I am getting ready to scale my bag size down. Been running everything in 7 gal fabric bags and I think those are just too big for autos. I’m going to go down to 3 & 5 gal like you are doing. I am only growing in a 2x4x6 tent. I will keep watching and learning if you continue posting. Good luck and stay safe!!
