Keep the pH up & down solution…but buy proper ppm and pH meters. Your plants will love you for it.
@Growmoredank okay I do have those meters what is the ideal runoff? I’ll try that this next watering and see what I get. But should I make sure it’s balanced prior to watering still or just get it regular water?
What soil are you using?
Have you started feeding nutes yet?
When was the last time you fed them?
I’d start with a feeding, they look like they need nitrogen or have possible lockout due to the pH being off, record the ppm and pH going in…then after the pots stop draining check the runoff ppm and pH. Let us know what the numbers are… Keep track after that.
You could also do a soil slurry test…grab some deep soil water it in a cup…let it sit…then filter it with a coffee filter and check pH and ppm.
Also make sure to ppm and pH check watering and feeding.
@Growmoredank Fox Farms ocean Forest it’s my first time using this one. I started one round of FF Big Bloom but I stopped when I got on here it was just one feeding. So straight water right now
I typically use all the FF nutrients with the guide.
How long have they been in the OF?
How long were you feeding?
How long since just water only?
RO, distilled, well, or city water?
Like your style sir!
How long have they been in the OF? 5-6wks
How long were you feeding? 1 feeding of Big bloom FF
How long since just water only?1 week
RO, distilled, well, or city water? City
Are you filtering or allowing the chlorine or chloramine to evaporate?
City water is usually treated.
I’d start with a feeding…check ppm and pH of the solution before feeding. Then retain the run off and check and record the out flow ppm and pH then report.
Remember to water enough to flush old salts out or through. Overwatering is watering too often not in one watering.
How much have you been watering/feeding?
A Gallon?..2?..3?
What size are your pots? 7 gallon?
How much have you been watering/feeding? Only fed once ,watering every 3 days
A Gallon?..2?..3? About a quarter of a gallon per
What size are your pots? 7 gallon -yes sir
I’m just letting it evaporate really didn’t have a plan for that to tell you the truth.
OK, here is how to fix them. If your runoff was 5.6, you are locked out. That’s why I asked for numbers way back in the post. If your at 5.6, I would flush them with 6.5 ph water with 1/4 strength nutes until your ph is up to at least 6.4. This will flush the media to reset, then, immediately follow up with a half strength feed and let dry back. Your plants aren’t getting the minerals in the soil because they are out of range for absorption, a reset will put things back in line and they will show immediate improvement in a couple days. ![]()

Just watered and am At 5.97
That’s amazing that is exactly what I did I raised the pH and did about a quarter of the nutes.. fingers crossed. Thank you so much I’ll keep you posted.
