Hey guys this is my second grow. I have 3 GDP ladies that are just entering week 4 flower . I notice leaf clawing on mainly the bud leaves and they also appear a darker green. One is fine and the other is kinda in the middle of the same issue. I think it may be be nitrogen toxicity . But I don’t see the clawing on the fan leaves or any of the others.
I use FFOF with 25% perlite .
Feed with compost teas every other week
Use bluesky organic tip dressing
Nuts to feed also, also molasses and seaweed/kelp
RH 40-50% temp 23-27 Celsius
I have 1 upper and lower fan plus intake air.
When I feed with compost teas or with plain water I feed using a ph of between 6.4-6.8. Feed when they actually need it , so usually every 2-3 days . I don’t let them get bone dry.Since I’m just starting week 4 should I just power through it or address the issue? What do you guys think?
Hello isixtytwo
I think they look great!
A little imperfection is perfection.
I really don’t see an issue from the pics myself
If that’s all you’ve seen I say no worries
I will have to check the runoff numbers when I feed next . I haven’t worried about them all grow, they have been super healthy. I Just worry about the ph going in . The soil has been taking care of itself .
It is common even among same strain to have several different plant profiles and different grow rates. This also means different food intake rates.
Since the other two are doing well, it’s just that one plant is a little different.
You might consider a little different—lighter % of nutes for that one plant.
I can’t really feed it a lower amount , I’m growing organically. Pretty much done feeding now . Maybe a compost tea in a week or so . But I was thinking . Maybe I should flush the one? I don’t want this toxicity to stunt the budding.
After a lot of research and thought . I think I’m going to wait and just plain feed with water , maybe some molasses and kelp and
Not flush. Not all colas/bud sites are experiencing it just some are. Since it’s already week 4 I don’t want to stress them out more than I have too . If anyone else has any input/thoughts I would appreciate it .
What is your PH cause My 1st batch flowered early and they never made buds just wondering. Trying to keep mine alive! PH problem I rinsed them in 5.8-60 PH as advised.
I ph my water / compost tea at 6.5-6.8 . It’s good to keep it at a higher ph for the microbes . I also do it that high because FFOF tends to acidify over time.
WELL I JUST RINSED MINE DOWN WITH LOWER PH 5.0- 6.0 IT WAS 7PH. I THINK YOUR SUPPOSE TO RINSE COCO COIR BEFORE PLANTING? DA HERE! THOUGHT I KNEW IT ALL WENT TO SMOOTH THE 1ST TIME ONLY TO END UP @100 DAYS WITH JUST FLOWER- LOST SMELL 6 PLANTS GOT 2& 1/2 Z’S MIGHT AS WELL BE LEAFthey looked just like yours. What is the light schedule? What is FFOF?
I don’t use coco coir . But I heard you usually have to rinse them for the salt that’s in them . FFOF is Fox Farm Ocean Forest organic soil . Only my one girl looks down like that . But I’m pretty sure it’s a slight nitrogen toxicity because other bud sites aren’t affected like that . Light schedule is 12 12 . Normal flowering light schedule.
2hat scares me is that my plants are now 5weeks tomorrow, their range fluctuates some are up to 11’ a couple are 9 and the sick lady is 7". My plants aren’t near the size of yours. Must be lighting again what’s you think? I flushed mine do I let them dry out for a day then resume with fertilizer? It’s the only neut. I have with PHOSPHORUS 4.0 is that sufficient? What do You recommend for neut.
