Girl Scout Cookies Extreme and Chronic Widow

So is that what it looks like with the alcohol evaporated off. How thick is it. It looks great. I’m drooling just looking at it. I find myself just staring at your pictures. Its mesmerizing

How long have you been growing. You seem to have a knack for growing quality bud

@MAXHeadRoom I wouldn’t say all the alcohol evaporated as you can feel the burn for a few seconds. lol I first screened using the cheese cloth then three more times using a coffee filter. The end results for color can vary depending on the strain and is very light As far as growing I’ve been doing this since it became legal in Ma. Well maybe just a little ahead of the curve as I had some ready for Christmas time.

So this is your 3rd grow. Very Good. The reason I was asking about your Tincture and whether the alcohol was evaporated is because I’m an alcoholic, 7 years sober, and I don’t think I would want any alcohol left in mine. Just to be safe I think I will use vegetable glycerin.

I’m on my first grow and learning a lot. We both have DIY hydro setups. Mine is a high pressure aeroponics. Works very well. I don’t think I will ever grow in dirt after seeing the results. I made my own LED lights too and don’t think I will ever use HPS either. I am retired like you so I have time to tinker with new ideas. Some work others don’t but its fun building it.

Happy Growing

Congrats on your sobriety I will be looking into something other than alcohol myself. Taking the tincture is the most alcohol I’ve consumed in years. Not counting some beers.

So how is the buzz compared to a hit off the pipe. More? Less? @NTMAREMACH

I’ll always prefer a hit off the pipe. I just took about 15 drops so now I’ll wait to see how it works

Is that your first time? That seems like a lot

I started with 5 then 10 last night so I want to see if 15 is too much. I’ll let you know. lol

I’m still in the process of harvesting the four plants. l’m down to my last one which is a GSCE. This made room for my Gold Leaf in soil to join her sister’s which are also Gold Leaf. You can see in the picture how the two larger GL’s are checking the youngster out. I still have a month on the GL that are in there now. How much fatter can they get.
Leaving the veg. room where she was all alone.

Entering her flowering room.

@NTMAREMACH i’m growing GSCX and having difficulty determining when to harvest. the strain description on ILGM.com says about 10 weeks in flowering. How long was your GSCX in flowering? Do you have any tips on making the determination?

@NTMAREMACH

Amazing thread, enjoyed reading :open_book: it, outstanding production of beautiful Mary Jane plants, thank you for sharing!

This is what I use to determine when to harvest and check for any mold. You really have to take a sample from the plant and look under good lighting or Just as the lights go out I use a bright light from a headset to look.

Just when I start seeing amber in the trichomes Is when I do it. It all depends on what you want. Just starting to turn amber is what I like but some people like mostly amber for that couch lock effect.

Ok. Cool. I use a 30x / 60x loupe with led lights on it. The problem I have is steadiness. I’m trying to view the trichomes on the top of a cola while still on the plant. I’m striving for 50-70% cloudy and it isn’t easy to tell.
Any and all advice appreciated.
