Germination Questions Fool Proof

Thanks. Gonna try that the solo cup with that water soil until water runs out bottom correct???

Also FYI I am using a base of
Pro Mix HP with Mycorise

No, too young to water that much. Mist the medium and place a clear dome over the seedlings (like a clear solo cup) and mist the inside of that. They won’t be needing much water until they build a root system.

Thank you one was growing upside down. I think the others will be fine I just need to be patient. I’m 55 I’ve been growing plants since the late 1970’s. Thanks to your company looks like I’m finally going to have a consistent reliable source of quality products

Just transplant it and straighten her up with your medium as you fill up new pot Or open up a paperclip to form a little stand for it and dome her. Only water her if there’s no moisture on the inside of your dome, I breathe a big breath of my dragon breath into dome after I check on her. Here’s an ILGM Super Lemon Haze that was soaked on April fools day.

Check on her each day but if there’s still moisture inside that dome, she’s good. Her roots aren’t drinking, only growing for a week or two. 95% of its moisture gathering is thru those little leaves and all of it’s feeding is coming from those first 2 round leaves👌 If there is moisture, let her do her thing🤙🏼

thanks to alll for replying!!! y’all are awesome !!! so

UPDATE it is now they are 11 days old from planting and 8 days sprouted

please let me know if you all feel these are close to transplant

if not any guidance as far as how many nodes or how tall before i move them to there forever home…

talke a look and let me know thanks in advance!!!

Ok mate, firstly I can’t see any holes in those cups (mine have about 40 down the sides) but if you have holes in the bottom, you could check for roots. When you see your first root your good to go but with that said, personally… I’d transplant them between now and the weekend, whenever works for you. If you wait too long they can get rootbound but if your a little early the soil from the pot she’s coming out of just doesn’t hold together very well and it’s easy to disturb her young roots. Personally I prefer the early transplant as apposed to late but you’ll have a few weeks to a month before it gets dire. They look fine, 1 thing tho… try not to get waterdrops on the leaves, the drops can act like a lens and burn your plants but all systems go in my opinion

Thanks bro there are holes in bottom of cup but can’t see roots. Made a note for next run to have more holes. One thing I should have asked it’s ok once transplanted to go in tent under led ?? Thanks in advance !!!

Yeah she’ll be good to go after transplant but I’d give her a few days/week (especially if time isn’t vital on the turn around) after the transplant so she can settle as stress free as possible before cranking up the lights. :call_me_hand:t3:

I have followed your advise. I soaked seeds in shot glass until a tail formed. Then placed in solo cup with misted done under small LED light 24 hours. Nothing has broke through the dirt after 5 days? I’m misting the solo cup done maybe once per day. Am I being too impatient or are these seeds dead?

Time to investigate. I’ve had some that tried to grow down into the soil. Had to uncover them and straighten them out.

Here is a pictures of what I had in the shot glass. Then what’s in the dirt and the light I am using any advice?

That light would need to be a lot closer. It also looks like your medium may have been too wet

I had just misted the plants. I had the seedlings under my hlg 240 with about 3 ft distance from the solo cups before I moved to this light. Should I move them back to my tent?

Got my HLG 240 turned all the way down. Does this seedling look dead to you it’s yellow and feels brittle. I had these seedling under a small LED kitchen sink type lamp. Moved to the tent for more light.

Looks like your seed shell got stuck, that happens sometimes, usually after the sprout tho, how deep did you bury the tailed seeds? I’d definitely put them back in your tent at the bottom

I put the seeds about a 1/4 inch in HF. I have placed back in my tent.

Not sure what I am doing wrong. I have planted 6 seeds now and they all look like this after 7-10 days. The seedlings are yellow and feels brittle. What are your thought?

read read read. look at every journal till your head explodes. find a process that works for you. welcome to i kill seedlings.

What’s your temperature, 7-10 days should be further along then that. They can look like that for a day or two when they first sprout so I wouldn’t be pulling them out until all signs of green are gone. No signs of the shell membrane still on or perhaps hot soil or over watering perhaps? Are you using a seed raising soil?

Ok all so sorry for delay but progress is moving forward 2 are looking good but one has something wrong…
