Germination please help

hi there growers well I havent been on here for a while and I germinated 6 seeds about 4 or 5 days ago now 5 of them have popped the 6th 1 haddent and I was driving myself crazy wondering if it was on its way or not ( I dropped them in rapid rooters) I have always done it this way and had 100% success so anyway I couldn’t handle it no more and opened the rooter up and the seed havent popped I took it out and gently squeezed it and a tap root popped out of it so I went to place it back in rooter and dropped it on the floor of tent I managed to pick it up and put it in will this now do it magic any ideas please

Keep her going & see. She’s had a rough week, but maybe good things will happen, anyway.

sort of, it might live, but it will never be one of the strong plants and it will always be behind the others,
it would be better to trash the bad seed and continue on with the others,
might have to veg them for another week or 2 to make up for their fallen sister.!

I only just did it so fingers crossed it be ok if not I just veg the other 5 a bit longer, I’m using a 8ft x 4ft tent I normally do 4 plants in there and from my lighting footprint pull around 30 oz, I decided to go with 6 this time so I could cut my veg time I use a scrog so rule of thumb is fill the canopy and footprint should yield 30-40 oz not more plants = more yield I got 4 different strains to this time not a big fan of mixing strains on scrog but used the seeds I had floating about instead of buying more some was freebies I received so we will see how it goes
this is the time when I first start that I get all excited and just can’t stop researching and making sure I doing everything I can to male sure things go smoothly it’s like having new children come into the world lol

@SlowOldGuy I let it go for now see if it takes time will tell if I discard it or not if it pulls through then all good if not veg a little longer but cheers for advice

Search for "THE PERFECT GERMINATION METHOD IF YOU FOLLOW DIRECTIONS ". You will never have germination problems again if you do it the way I spelled it out. I will add that you can take the seeds out of the water and put them in a paper towel after they open, but it is not necessary if you don’t leave them in the water for more than 48 hours @g-reg

Every one of the seeds in these cups grew all the way to harvest. A picture is worth a thousand words hahahaha

I done the paper towel method before and it worked I started to use the rapid rooter and it’s never failed me in till this time next time I will try soaking first to moist the seed shell first I guess 1 seed out of maybe 30 - 40 germination isn’t to bad @OldSkunk thanks again for advice

No fails in over 100 seeds now. Any time friend

@OldSkunk I’m going to change subject now, what kind of lighting do you use I’m in the UK and I use 2 600w hps I would like to get into led I watch some good youtube vids in America and they get good yields and quality bud from them,
the market for led is really behind and the hydro shops that sell them are really expensive anyway I found a guy who builds and sells them on eBay in UK but I don’t know all the jargon for led lights I want to get same yields for my 2 600w hps footprint but cut electric cost down if I send y9u the link to what they are would you.be able to give me any advice

Growmau5 pucks from RapidLed. $1,044 US for a 5x5 area light that’s 860 watts, but I only run at 700 watts. That’s all they can take without Co2.

Curious if you pH the water?

I don’t know if they’re available in your neck of the woods but recently I upgraded from a 1000 watt HPS and metal halide to 2- 315 Watt all in one CMHs. I run one with a 3K bulb and one with a 4K bulb. This is my first complete grow with the CMHs so I don’t know how my end result will be just yet , but I can say that I really like what I’m seeing thus far. Not only does there appear to be lots of resinous trichomes on the buds and leaves but the cost I’m saving on electricity compared to the 1000 watt “older school” system is nice. Running two of these is still cheaper on my electric bill than the single 1000 watt HPS metal halide I was using. I find that it’s also a lot easier to manage the temperature of my little grow room using these ceramic metal halides compared to the 1000 watt bulbs I was using. Just food for thought. Enjoy your grow and have a nice day.

thank you for the birthday wishes unfortunately the seed is a none starter but hey life goes on (for me anyway and the other 5)
as much as I love this hobbie I hate seedling stage I just want to get hands on and do something, won’t be long before training starts and into the scrog

@neckNflu yeah we have them I think the 315w maxibright and we can get the 600w and 1000w gravitas if these are what you mean expensive to buy is the problem but 1 day I will upgrade

I lost two Gold Leaf and one Gorillia Glue at seedling. So don’t feel so bad it happens to everyone sooner or later
