So I just started using general hydroponics Flora trio and was wondering should I use armour si bio root diamond nectar Flora nectar basically all the " experienced" level nutrients. I am using it in soil and in a 19 gal tote.
Welcome to the community!!
Armor Si is great for the cell structure as well as over health and strength of the plant. I hope you also plan to use Calmag. You can actually grow with just the basics, but othhers will probably have other opinions.
Filling out a support ticket will allow other folks to give a more informed answer.
I believe @MattyBear @peachfuzz @PurpNGold74 @merlin44 are familiar with GH products. If you need to get a hold of anybody, use the @ symbol like @Skott
Good luck!
I have only used FF Trio and Roots Organics dry nutrient lines. No help here.
I dont see why not… if you can find the schedule for the ‘experienced lineup’. Give em a go.
Id definitely check each one out first tho. Pne by one and see what they are made of and what they accomplish.
Like Armor Si is a Silica additive. It promotes healthy plant cells, defense against pests and disease, and strong stem growth. I wouldnt use super early in veg or late in flower.
Bio Root sounds like a microbial inoculating kind of deal…
Thanks yeah I am using calmag. What’s the best way/amounts to mix the nutrients for soil( promix hp) I’ve seen so many online and it seems like the amounts are really high and some are low.
I wanted to use bio root instead of rapid start. But I have noticed that bio root might be for use with bio series. There’s just so many!!! Lol I was using super soil "Michigan made soil"and papas perfect poop. Did great but I like the idea of mixing my own nutrients.
I see you mention that Promix is a soil, it’s not, it’s considered a semi-soil ( 75% peat, perlite and i think lime ). It took me a year to find this out lol. Just wanted to mention it because it changes the way you water and feed your plants. Should not let them dry out and for the moment I am giving my plants higher levels of nutrients having an issue with interveinal chlorosis which is almost gone with the great advice i got here. Going to them feed them every watering at half strength while montering the ppm and ph runoff, but at the end if the day your plants will tell you what they want
Off topic ? For you, I seen in a different post that you knew alot about growing in totes? I just started and it’s been about 1.5 weeks and I’m starting to get build up in the tote. I have 4 air pumps with stones and was wondering if anything can be done to stop the build up
Let’s start by telling me what nutes you are using and exactly what order do you mix in?
Armour si cal mag micro gro bloom diamond nectar Flora blend bio root. It is in veg stage water is phd @ 6.5
And nute brand is general hydroponics Flora trio I have 3 air pumps two are 3.1 watts the other is 3.5 couple different air stones on the bottom.
PH your water at 5.8 for hydro.
Let’s see what these fine folks have to say. @Myfriendis410 @peachfuzz is buildup normal with GH product running in a tote dwc?
Ok good to know, I recently seen that you can do rdwc and thought that might help the sludge with the current going threw. That’s the thing there are so many different things you can do and while some work for some others not do much lol. I’ve been doing soil for a year and have to say I did very well with that. I have always wanted to do hydro and we will see how this run goes.with much help to you good people lol. Much appreciated
Also this is the mix chart I found, again there are so damn many of these floating around just wanted to have anyone’s input on if these numbers are causing a build up problem.
Sorry I ghosted on the weekend. Kids tend to monopolize my time sometimes. Spy tagged to hydroers for ya. They are all over the additives and orders or mixing up. Apparently the wrong order can really throw a wrench into your rez.
Yeah I’m thinking that’s what is the problem. Just that there is so many spread sheet info for general hydroponics Flora trio mixes. I just started using general hydroponics nutrients so that’s why I’m trying to get the general idea on how much to add.
Rapid start is more of a seedling/early veg style supplement. Its actually a nutrient imo.
Bio Root is the microbe stuff as I thought. Can be used throughout the grow
Diff things do diff stuff
Yeah I started off using rapid start but it’s so damn expensive!! That’s why I switched to bio root. Everything’s going great with my soil grow " knock on wood" but as a first time non soil grower I’m finding out that it’s more sensitive to the nuts. thanks everyone for the assistance.
No problem @Skott Make sure you keep us updated and feel free to question away.
Yup hydro gets reactions MUCH faster and its always more readily available the soil fed. Thats why soil growers are enlisting the microbe factories lol
Lol yes I recently started adding recharge and that shit works pretty well. And I will keep everyone updated and I’m positive I’m not done asking questions lol.
