General Hydroponics Coco Tek

Hey everyone! So I am curious if anyone has experience with Coco Tek grow and bloom. The reason I am asking is because currently I have been using the ph perfect grow micro and bloom by advanced nutrients and up till now I haven’t had much deficiency issues other than the cal mag problems just because of using coco for my medium. But now getting into early flower I was seeing the starts of some deficiencies that I am assuming is because I am not using the full line but after looking at the prices for all the additives I realized I had started down quite the costly path. I was planning on switching over to canna coco a and b but the local hydro store is all out for the next couple weeks. They showed me the Coco Tek line and I decided to go with it. But now I am just curious if I have to go out and buy the rest of the reccomended products on their feeding schedule. Or do I have enough nutrients and additives to make it work.

You have enough nutrients I dont think you would have to go buy them

@Majiktoker I was thinking I should be alright as well I am just curious as to what I should combine or do I just watch my ppm as I add everything? My other concern is the transition from AN to GH. Should I just do the switch today cause it’s feeding day. I know when I was feeding with AN I was up to 1500-1600 ppm and I wasn’t even at full strength yet, but now switching do I introduce the new fertilizer at a low ppm and work up or do I just match previous feeding? Just got the liquid karma and pk13/14 today so I need to work those in as well with my ppm

I would switch today and start with less and gradually work your way up and yes add those in and work your way up, remember its a ratio, every number will increase when you add more

Thanks a bunch @Majiktoker!! I am only about a week and a half maybe 2 weeks since she has been showing white hairs, should I be adding the pk13/14 already? The guy at the store said add it for week 5 and only use during week 5 of flower but that sounded a bit odd.

Yes go ahead and add it now is about the time I would be adding it @Tfunk, potassium and phosphorus will help with bud swelling and developement

Thanks to everyone here it has been great growings so far  Lol I totally forgot one question. Is it OK if i let my coco get mostly dry? I have heard it causes nutrient/salt pockets in the coco and the next watering can release the buildup and cause the plant to take up much more nutrients than intended. I am using 3g fabric pots and a 70% coco 30% Perlite mix. And I am watering every other day and it is really dry when I water. Is watering everyday better to do? I figured it shouldn’t hurt because the mix should be very difficult to over water but I was just wondering what your thoughts are

Yes let them get mostly dry thats how plants get oxygen to the roots

OK cause when I pick them up to feel how much water is in the coco it seems like it’s bone dry. I am just concerned that once she is bigger I will go to work and come back to a very sad and dry plant. I had read somewhere that coco is almost impossible to over water just because even fully saturated it is supposed to contain 30% oxygen still.
