Hey all just wanted to say that Iām using FFOF as my base soil then added worm castings to it seem to be working good too. I love your mix @garrigan62 thanks so much for your help.

Ca you please define for meā¦ What is a large bag of base soil. We used 3.0 cubic feet bags and now I am concerned that I may have too week of a mix if the āLarge bagā is smaller than what we used.

This would be your large barge = ( LARGE BAG ) One cubic yard equals 27 cubic feet. A 40 pound bag of topsoil usually contains about . 75 Cubic Feet of soil .

Thank you. My base soil is 35lbs for a 3 cubic foot bag. much lighter than what you suggested here. I am attaching a pic of the bag (label) and the ingredients. note: I have added coco fiber and myco since the soil didnāt have it. Additionally, for your info, I used the 1/4 recipe which included 6cu ft soil(2 bags)+ 1 cu ft coco.
My question isā¦ did I screw this up already?

no, you didnāt screw upā¦just being different thatās all. Ya different soil from different commpanys would weigh differant. Ill up date in the soil info possted. Thank You for bring that to mt atention.

Hello, sorry for disturbing , I have problem with making super soil ,I cant find right fertilizer due to gov ,I can find
Peatmoss,perlite,sheep manure with no NPK analyze,bat guano 2.5.1, hen manure (which ratio is better ?),kelpmeal,blood meal and bone meal ,azomyte,vermicompost ,sorry I cant just go and buy what ever I want these are what I have got, and I want to know the recepie for 30 L pot ,I will be very appreciated if you can help me please.
@garrigan62 Iāve been looking for a āfire and forgetā soil for an outdoor grow this summer. Can you tell me about how many gallons worth of soil the large batch makes? Iām also trying to decide what size container to use. Going with oxy pots and having a difficult time deciding between the 12 and 20 gallon sizes. Any input is much appreciated!!

If you are looking for something off the shelf, there is kind soil.
But I would suggest you call Buildasoil and speak to one of their customer service reps. They will get you squared away.

The soil recipe he created looks amazing. Iām going to try it out. Iām going to be growing around 24 plants outdoors in 20 gallon oxy pots. I was curious how much the large recipe makes but I can do the math to figure it out. Thanks for your help @AAA

@garrigan62 wow what a year brother between being in the sticks and internet reception sketchy at best I hadnt realized I had been gone so long . Virginia has finally legalized recreational to take effect july . So I have saved a big spot in the veggie garden . My question is would chicken guano be to hot to replace worm castings in your mix as I have 15 poop makers to the tune of about 100lbs of chicken dumpins a month. Ordered 20 Bruce Banners on the buy 10 get 10 special and want to see just how big I can get one before I have to harvest. Got 2 Mowi and 2 Gold leaf just going into transition and 4 clones for each just starting to root . Getting tired of running out before my next harvest because everyone wants some free buds when I harvest.
I now realize growing extra for Christmas and a few birthday presents was a big mistake people act like you grow 50 lbs a year in a 4x4 tent.

I have a question about using Coast of Maine Stonington Blend as my base for Super Soilā¦is this a good start? If so, should I adjust the rest of the amendments you listed? Keep all of them the same? Or even possibly eliminate some of them? Iām going to try to attach some screenshots of the product in case youāre not familiar with this brandā¦ hopefully they show correctly.
My goal is to be able to just water as needed instead of fighting every damn thing from bugs to fungus next year. This year (also my 1st at growing Strawberry Cough & Purple Haze outside) has been very time consuming fighting leaf septoria (on 2 plants) because of corn crops in the field having a fungus that travels through wind & damn bugs & worms (on all 4 plants)even though I was constantly treating them. I also grew a vegetable garden that I battled with same issues. Needless to say, I am sick of it all & so over the intense, constant labor to remedy every single situation! Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your help!!
