I just ordered some autoflower sour diesel seeds. Whats the best soil to grow them in?
I saw where someone here said they use FF Happy frog for the entire grow.
Will this work ?
Welcome back @Mercury50
There are numerous threads for soil only grows.
And you will get numerous recommendations.
So I will pull the first suggestion.
Coast of Maine Stonington blend. Water only. But I did add some fish shit. 5ml to a gallon.
When I say water only, it is water only. No ph.
No testing run off. But this will blow up here in a few.
Ill toss Earth Dust out there. Water only. 2 ammendments. Living soil. No ph’ing unless over 8.5 or under 5.5 or so.
Thank you sir,
I will have to check on this soil and see if it can be purchased near by.
How much fish shit did you apply and how often?
good evening
whats the two ammendments?
thank you for your time
5ml to a gallon on every watering. It also had nematodes
But there will be fox farm opinions with a Jacks and everything in between. Good luck with your choice and your grow.
First is before planting to allow to cook. Second is 2 weeks before flower. That be it. 2nd is a top dress. Besides that…water and love.
My local store sells this so i will give it a shot.
Im out here picking up ideas and any information is greatly appreciated
Thank you
It says my local shop has this in stock as well. I will definitely try it out.
I think i will have a plant in one type of soil and another in the other.
Thank you
Fox Farm and Roots Organic are great soils that have different types lasting anywhere from 2-8 weeks, before having to introduce nutrients. @Storm has a good one going with the Earth Dust. Either of the soil brands mentioned are fine to cook it in.
I’m saying fxxx it tomorrow and finally cooking a batch of Earth Dust to put one of my Forbidden Fruits sprouts in. I’m so sorry I’ve not put it to use yet. Between life and the rest growing and I’m really fxxxin impatient already. I’ve had an empty pot of FFOF sitting for a month because my cat killed the 2 week old plant I had in it.
Thank you my friend
Im going to entertain this awesome information
What does earth dust do? I’ve seen a few people talking about it. Same with silica?
Earth dust is an ammendment that creates a “living” soil. Soil is ammended…wet and left to 'cook"2 weeks to a month optimally. Can just ammend and go if have to. Water only till couple weeks before flower then top dress once with a bloom boost. Water till done. Easy peasy. 2 parts. Here is a pic all in ED. CRAZY simple.
Silica builds strong stems…protects in harsh conditions and helps bud growth. Most soil ammendments contain some. Silica blast rocks when growing big big girls.
So do you only water once?
I’m using it this year. It’s so easy, no measuring nutrients every watering, just water with a filter on the hose for chlorine if you have municipal water. Top dress once or twice, and maybe make a “tea” for supplemental boost. You won’t get as fast or huge growth as with synthetic nutrients but I think it’s healthier and will actually taste better too. I shall find out at harvest lol
Noooooooo you still have to water regularly. In fact you Don’t want the soil to dry out completely because you’ll kill the good microbes. It’s “living soil”
Grin…no. just water only. Ammend 2 times. Also reuse soil. Gets better every time.
I believe it does. Smelliest tastiest I have grown.
Do you use it during veg and reapply during flower?
