Fourth grow but still haven't got it down

How do you tell its dried enough to trim and cure.

Some use a pronged wood moisture meter.

Stick the prongs into the center of the bud at the stem. 10-12% internal moisture is good to go and then you can jar it and burp or use grove bags or similar. Want to shoot for 58-62% RH inside the bag/jar and the longer the cure at that consistent temp/humidity will produce a great product. 60°F and 60% humidity is primo. Also a dark area…

Once you do it enough times you get a feel for it. To verify take a small bowl and light it up. Does it stay lit? Yeah? Trim and jar it.

I still like the almost- snap of a stem. When it snaps but hangs on by a strand. Did you start #5 yet, lets grow

Literally.
If the bud feels “cool” it is wet, my fingers used.

In the old days the cure was an extra step you didn’t need to do. Just dry and wait two weeks for the bud to get it’s taste and you’ll know that by smoking some.

Then jar if needed.

A cure takes months, a slow breakdown of secondary products is what your after and that only happens when bud moisture is sub 12%
