For dry ice hash, dried or fresh buds?

I have a lot of very larfy buds that I’m planning to use to make dry ice hash. Is it better to dry them first, or is it ok to use fresh (not dried) material?

Never did dry Ice, read a bit about, but sure you can freeze if its fresh it will be solid once dry ice is added, would also like to add I dry all then separate choice buds from larf and trimmings once dry.

I dry and cure before I do dry ice. Not to dry though. This is when I actuality go for 60%. I have shook at lower though and been fine.
Smoking buds I like a little lower than 60% because 60 in our opinion just don’t burn or taste right 45 and 50 for us.

Pretty sure you can do it either fresh or dried.

Tried fresh and it didn’t work out for me. Just made a big frozen ball with little return. Let that frozen ball thaw and dry. Shook 5 days later and had decent results.
