Flowering questions, does this look normal?

Hi, I have some northern lights growing outdoors in 10-15 gallon fabric pots (using fox farms ocean forest and some fox farms nutes).

grown from seed (feminized photoperiod seed from weedseedexpress), started indoors about early march, planted outdoors in april.

I started seeing flowering activity in june, thinking this seems too early. they had otherwise been healthy looking and growing like crazy.

I’m a little worried that they have been in flower mode for over 2 months, but not seeing many darkening pistils yet – trichromes seem to be getting cloudy, but no amber ones visible yet.

I noticed these brown pistils (I think) today – is this the normal darkening that I should be looking for, or is this a sign of rot?

I’m also seeing a lot of leaves turning yellow / brown and dropping off. I think this should be expected to some extent, but I dont have experience enough to know what’s ‘normal’

Thanks for any comments!

Need to post pictures of the whole plant but a plant will use the energy from the bottom leaves first the will start turning yellow may need to check run off numbers plant may need more nutrients

thanks for taking a look! Here are some more pics of the ladies, and a bit more info:
prior to flowering, I would spray them about weekly to keep bugs off (I noticed grasshoppers, small bugs flying in and munching leaves here and there, but nothing major)
once I saw budlets starting to form, I stopped as I’ve read not to spray buds.
I noticed mite or maybe thrip damage (small yellow / white dots on leaves, but did not see spider mites or webbing, so probably some other mite. I purchased some Amblyseius Swirskii and Amblyseius Cucumeris mites to do battle with them. these were deployed in early july.
I just got a usb microscope and looked at some leaves at ~250x magnification yesterday, I was able to identify live Swirskii mites still on the leaves. no signs of spider mites, but I do see a lot of very tiny dots on the underside leaf veins, which might be some other kind of mite or super tiny pest.

Here are the pics:

…and finally a wide shot of the garden

…for a while, I’ve mostly seen lower leaves turning yellow, but its made it pretty high at this point, and I’m finding brown crispy leaves in the flowering areas now.

Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions.

I am battling spider mites myself i am using jacks dead bug eveyone on here says you can use it during flower got it from lowes you just have to spray in the evenings at dusk

I have some yellow leaves and few brown spots looking at your plants looks like getting to much heat but i am no expert hopefully one of the other one’s will come and check it out.

@MidwestGuy can you determine what is going on with @n0ob plant’s
He always has good advice he can help you far better than i can

Danniep40, those plants look great! not much visible mite damage. also, yours seem to be just getting started with flowering, which seems about right for outdoors this time of year. I’m really boggled as to why mine started so early

@n0ob i didn’t put my plants outside until after memorial day cause it was so cold still here in va i kept them indoors for 20 days then moved outside

It’s really hard in my opinion to I’d deficiencies after spider mites as they do so much damage to the leaves. With that said flowering is on, so make sure they are getting proper nutes.

The damage to the leaves is also caused by the sprays over time used to kill the mites.

The dots on the undersides are spider mite eggs.

They flowered early as you started them inside and most likely did not properly acclimate them outside to the light hours.

The plants most likely revegged if they have been flowering two months. Got some myself just like it.

Your gonna be fine as long as you keep those mites knocked back. The eggs hatch every 4 days. The predator mites in my experience never kill them all, they leave some to feed on.

Thanks for your comments. What’s your take on the brown hairs in the first picture? normal, or a problem? also curious to know about how much longer until harvest time.

The sprays sometimes turn the hairs brown. It’s no biggie. Your early strains will be ready mid to late September the rest October and November outdoors in the USA. Your plant appears light green and hungry.

Thanks for that. I’ll stop worrying. I did just give them a good dose of the fox farms brown stuff and sprinkled a tablespoon of blood meal too, a little extra for #3, as it was looking much lighter than the others. crossing my fingers!
