Ok I have a 3x3x6 flower tent and I’m getting light coming in at a lot of the seams. Has anyone tried flex seal to fix this problem? I was thinking I could spray the whole tent to block any pin holes also

@perry2, I apply once and wait until it dried. After about a day later, I check all around and found a few leaks (the area that I missed or it did not have enough flex seal), so I apply the area with flex seal again. (If you put a generous amount of flex seal, it seals better and no need for the 2nd application. ) It will shrink a little also after it dries completely. To prevent 2nd application, generous amount first time. Make sure flex seal doesn’t touch the zipper itself. I would start from the corner and get a handle on how much is the perfect amount.
Answer to your question, flex seal working great. The area that I applied the flex seal, no light leak so far.
To save trouble looking for my original post, I will upload instruction here.
**** I use 14 gauge Needles like this one. 100 needles under $6.00. – description says 'luer lock tip needles, but it is actually luer slip needles. It fits any size syringes as long as it is luer slip tips. If you don’t know or confused, it’s best find the syringes that came with the needles. Just make sure the needle is large enough for the thick oil. like 14 gauge.
**** You can use spray ‘flex seal’. Just spray into the cup and use it. I found the flex seal from Walmart and its the best price.

Hey perry2 great idea. We all have so much stuff poking and prodding on our tents so little leaks can happen. Does the Flex seal have an odor? An odor that could possibly be transferred to your finished product? That was just the first thing that crossed my mind and I am curious.

I have not tried it yet but @THCCBD has he should be able to say if there is a sent to it
@ggr, It has an odor but it doesn’t stay after dry out. Also, the amount that I used around the zipper and other pinholes is very little and also I applied Flex Seal from outside, so there is no danger of odor transferring to the plants. Just my opinion.
You can test this. Just apply Flex Seal on a piece of paper and let it dry, then, smell it and see if you feel comfortable using it to fix the tent holes.
I’m thinking I’ll be using it on the corner stitching and the seams so I’ll be giving the spray on those

I used flex seal on all my tents seams to try and block light leaks. It works, but it’s messy, so spray down when no plants are in there. Make sure you have a lot of ventilation and fans running too. It can be overpowering smell wise.

@MattyBear, how did you use the flex seal? Did you spray all over the tent? The way I applied with syringes just around the zipper (covering the pinholes from the stitching area), it isn’t too messy nor has an overwhelming smell to it.
Yes, flex seal has the typical petroleum smell and it could bother some people.
