First timer in need of some advice…

Whts up cannippls? First time growing wanting to kno Whts the deal wit the bottom leaves on my autos? Started in ocean forest 3wks now. I was told wouldn’t need nutes til fourth week or so but does this look like I should start feeding a lil. Besides tht they look pretty healthy.

Please and thank you for your help.

I’m not sure if you need to feed yet, those dark green fan leaves almost look like they have too much nitrogen. Overall they look quite healthy. Good work so far. The top soil looks dry, how often and how much are you watering?

What soil are you running?

Hey from what I understand and I’m no where near a pro at this but … from what I heard ocean Forrest can run hot on seedlings and the leaves do look pretty dark green I can’t really tell if the tips are changing colors on them tht can also be a sign of some excess nutrients …

Your plants look fine you looks like you may have splashed water on them no big deal all bottom leaves eventually turn yellow i would wait couple more weeks and water too run off and check my ppm numbers when below a 1000 start feeding again

I would hold off on feeding just my opinion you’ll have plenty of leaves in no time any way lol

The ocean forest soil is pretty hot for young plants. You should be good on nutes for a few weeks I would think.

Ocean forest in 3 gallon bags

Thanks… How do you use the TDS reader if u don’t mind?

Thanks again BUDdies I really appreciate the info and opinions they are duly noted I will keep u posted. Keep growing🤙🏾

Oh I’ve jus started giving them about two cups a day .5mL… I wanted to let them dry out completely before I watered them again tho cause I’ve read tht they need dry periods as well.

Is it true that Distilled water should still be pHd for best results even tho it’s said to not have one??!

Distilled water will not need to be ph’ed if the soil ph is proper.

How close are your lights and at what setting?

Agree with what’s already been said. It’s over fed from the ocean forest. It will probably work through that eventually, but definitely don’t feed it. Autos are touchy to begin with IMO.

That’s seems like a good amount for water.

I don’t do dry periods on purpose, but my understanding those are useful during the flower period. In seedling and early veg stage, you may consider focusing instead on keeping them healthy and happy the whole time.

Looks like a good start.

This is probably why you’re seeing the dark waxy leaves as others have mentioned, OF runs hot. Typically most start them in Happy Frog then do a mixture of HF and OF in the final resting pot.

Just stay the course. If you start running into bigger issues a flush may be in order to get some of that excess nitrogen out of the soil but I wouldn’t go nuts just yet.

Do you have a ph pen and a tds pen or i use a combo that’s works pretty well for me all you do is in a couple more weeks water your plant to where you get runoff check your by settling your pen to what you want to read weather it ph or ppms.

This is the one i use hasn’t never let me down
