We have 3 gorilla glue auto-flowering plants going. We started these in 5"ish pots with Fox Farms Ocean Forest. After 2 weeks we transplanted them into 5 gallon grow bags also with Fox Farms Ocean Forests.
That was 4 days ago.
Trying to figure out if it is time to start feeding them with the Fox Farms trio we have.
Would now be a good time or should we wait a couple of more weeks since the ocean forest already has some nutrients in it?
Are these looking OK for 18 days old? One of them is a little yellowed. They all have some brown spots on the bottom leaves, I think that is because we started them in the ocean forest instead of something a little more plain.
Ocean forest is a little hot for seedlings to be started in. Top growth looks nice and green. Are you running ph in and out? Also a TDS readings? You shouldn’t need to feed anything for a while. OF is pretty good with the nutes. @imSICKkid , @Caligurl , what’s your take.
You will need to Ph your water and neuts. Also search TDS here and read up on it as it will be criticle to know when to feed. Also figure about 4/6 weeks (±) before feeding neuts. Dont get concerned about ph,TDs its not rocket science, But is important with that soil and neuts.
Ocean Forest is pretty hot and should be sufficient for about 6 weeks from the last transplant for fast growing cannabis. I would get and familiarize yourself with a TDS (PPM) meter and begin feeding when PPM dips below 800 for the first time.
FYI that probe meter you are currently using is completely worthless. You can not use to PH nutrients when the time comes. Anyone container gardening (like we are) needs to learn to use PH and TDS meters effectively as it will make a huge difference in quality and yield.
Don’t rely on that probe for dampness either, you need to learn by bag/pot weight if it’s dry or not. Those probes lie about PH (always 7 no matter what the actual PH is) and moisture. If you judge water needs by that probe you will most likely never let the soil dry out as much as it should before watering again which can lead to lots of plant problems and also could bring bugs to your grow.
Welcome to the community!! They all have you covered!! New growth looks fine. I use FF Trio but I don’t start until TDS on runoff is below 800ish. I might add other things if there appears to be a deficiency in nutes not in the soil.
