Advanced Nutrients - Micro, Grow, Bloom, Big Bud, Bud Candy and voodoo juice.

You should also look into Silica and Cal-Mag.

Im not an experienced grower, but this is what i use and its really done well for me.

@Lostgirl will suggest the same

Thank you for the tag @patrick1960

What’s your questions on advanced nutrients @proxybrowser ?

I think @Zampano covered it

I just came across a gorilla tent that is 2x2.5x5 which I can fit in my space and obviously allows me a bit more space inside the tent.

Thoughts on me having a gorilla tent but the rest of the products will be AC Infinity? All good with routing wires, installing the Pro Controller etc

Sorry I know this is a bit of a dumb question lol but I’m thinking if I can get a bit more room it makes sense. Also read Gorilla tents are good.

When using advanced nutrients you do not pH adjust your feeds. However, you will need pH up and down (off brand is fine) if you’re using pre-charged nutrient soil like Fox farm (until the pre-charged nutrients have been depleted

Yes the list that @Zampano posted above is what I consider the perfect selection of absolute necessary nutrients from their line.

You can buy cheaper silica and cheaper brand calcium magnesium, yucca etc. (I’ve never seen any difference I used the cheap :poop:)

In my opinion the 5x5 if you can fit in your space is far better than a 2x2 if you’re going to be growing multiple plants. Yes gorilla is a nice tent, vivoson, AC Infinity etc. they’re all relatively good in their own way

Do what now? I didnt know that.

Ah thanks for that re pH. I was looking at pH up/down products from different brands as couldn’t find a AN one here in the UK. I’ll be using their Coco Coir 70/30 so still don’t need it?

Should I still be testing pH though? Also is EC just as important?

That’s weed growing 101

When you start your seeds unless you use RO water/distilled water/or tap water that is 6.5 pH the pH needs adjusted

Also keep in mind if you’re using tap water you want at least 175 PPM measurement before you can pH adjust up or down. If your tap water is 50 PPM you would add another 125 of calcium magnesium then pH adjust

I always suggest that the seedling stage to utilize RO water or distilled water and do not pH adjust it.n

Well damn, okay. Im going to have to track down some distilled water then.

Also note, advanced nutrients has a special blend formulated for coco for each line of Base nutrients (basic, sensi, connoisseur etc)

The pH perfect base nutrients formulation is chelated to allow nutrient uptake in your soil to the roots zones between 4.0 and 10.0 so you would never pH adjust the water

It is good to keep a document of all your runoffs numbers both pH and PPM even though the pH will be irrelevant. And yes the PPM or EC is most important to keep track of on your runoff as it dictates how much your plant should eat.

Amazing info and knowledge!

Is there a chart to show what levels the EC and PPM should be throughout the grow cycle?

Sorry another newbie question re grow tent size. Is it important to have a bit of space around the grow tent? I was just measuring and if I go with the one that has 4”11 height it’ll either be just touching the ceiling or have a few mm space. Would that be an issue?

First off I suggest if you’re using advanced nutrients purchase there advanced nutrients Sensi line part A&B grow & bloom. It seems to be to go to line for AN coco growers. Be sure you select the coco version

**This is the feeding chart for Sensi for both veg and flower ** also note the chart below is for milliliters per gallon.

For seedlings I would mix 1/4 strength of what they recommend (to start with)

These are the exact advanced nutrients products that you’ll need

Thanks for that. These are the ones I was looking at along with that chart. I also had the cal/mag in my basket or is that not necessary?

Would you recommend to run it 1/2 after the seedling stage? I’ve read that people advise to run it lower than the manufacturers recommendation.

With watering/feeding, what are the recommendations for that? I’m looking to run x2 3gal fabric pots. I read somewhere 750ml with around 75-150ml run off.

Once you transplant, (I believe you’re using Happy frog soil) you can switch over to your 43 PPM tap water and add a hundred PPM of Cal mag so between your water and your calcium magnesium you should have 150 PPM going in. Then pH to 6.5

This will carry you all the way through the depletion of your precharge soils nutrients.

I would have never had gone this route, jesus christ. Once again helpful as ever, thank you.

It’s always good to have cal/mag on hand. It’s not necessary to purchase AN cal/mag (your choice)

Depending on the growth you’ll probably require half strength during veg. However, you start with 1/2 strength and test your run off. You want to feed the amount that allows you to run off and maintain 1,000 PPM feed accordingly

With coco it needs to be run off substantially to flush out the old and replace with new. In 3 gallon pots I would start with one gallon of feed per plant. You want to try to run off like three cups

Also you feed every time you water.

Thanks again for your help - much appreciated. Does it need nutrients at the seedling stage or just water?
