First time grower help needed

I am a first time grower in central Virginia. I have two of my plants with leaves curling a little and some are turning yellow.

I have them in my garden next to my corn. PH is around 7.5 to 7.9 depending on which day I check them.

Strains bubblegum, ak47 and Sour Diesel.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advanced.

Soil PH for cannabis should be between 6.2-6.8 if that’s what you are looking for and it will cause your symptoms
I also see what may be bug damage to the leaves inspect under the leaves with a magnifying glass for bugs

If you are confident in your soil ph test then it is a bit high.
Cannabis likes an acidic soil under 7 as low as 6 with 6.5 being about perfect. Approaching an 8ph could lock out many nutrients makeing it impossible fir the plant to take them up properly.

Heres a useful little chart

Thanks @1HappyPappy and @spankyjr1 for the information.

I doubled checked this morning with my soil meter and PH at root level is about 6.5 with one of them being just above the 6 mark on the meter.

I did find some bugs. I have used the bug buster from ILGM and Neem Oil. I spray the entire plant to include under the leaves. What do you guys use for pest control?

Also we have had severe thunderstorm and high temps/humidity the last week. Could that cause the yellow/curling of leaves?

Thanks again.

Very good possibilty.

As for the neem oil, dont use it during flower, it will ruin your whole plant. Make sure to do a bud wash when you harvest. Welcome to the growmunity! Also if you are in the ground, there in no need to check ph, the soil buffers it.

Thanks @ChittyChittyBangin

I think I am still in vegetation phase but not positive. I got started late this year, I dropped seeds on May 15th and my plants are only about 16 to 18 inches.

I have another issue that has me confused. Two or my plants have started drooping like they are not getting enough water. But the meter shows they are wet.

Do these look underwatered or overwatered?

Dont trust the meters… unless its one of those 500 dollar deals.

@ChittyChittyBangin it’s a cheap one from Lowes. So do you think it’s underwatered?

Whats the temps where you are?

90+ 60+% humidity

Temps are gonna get ya. Id water the dookie out of em.

@ChittyChittyBangin @spankyjr1 @1HappyPappy

I wanted to thank all of you for the responses. Unfortunately I lost 2 of the plants it was not underwatered my garden got hit with a fungus called Fusarium wilt. I believe it blew in here from a storm several other folks around me got hit with it as well in their gardens. I lost a few other vegetables plants from the same thing.

I was able to save one of the plants, I relocated it into a huge pot and moved it on the other side of the hose away from the garden. It seems to be bouncing back now.

Thanks again for all the advice.

@Vagrower74 Wonder if this is what’s going on with sone of my tomatoes

Every since the storm came through last week or so, 2 of them look wilted like under watered and they aren’t  I’ve been going crazy trying figure it out

Iv had this problem with two different hot peppers…
