It so I need Big help for this auto I’m growing rn. As the title says I’m a first-time grower that is in the Veg stage. The bigger plant on the left is on week 5 going on 6 of veg stage and the other on the right are widow and one random plant from smoked pac of flower (total of 5 plants). To start a few things off to give insight on my grow tent, it has a small fan (by Vivosun) clipped on the side of the bar on the tent, which is not the best and plan to get a better one this week. As well as a PH meter since I have not been keeping track of my waters PH levels. The water I use is Life water, I am currently using nutrients from Bergman’s and use with each watering measured at 1/8 tsp. About a week or so I noticed the leaves on the bottom starting to turn yellowish and with yellow tips which I just assumed it may have been because of light burn and nute burn. I have adjusted some things in the tent with the position of the plant and the lights as well as the fan, but I fear that I am missing a lot here and wanted some help from you guys on any ideas on what I can do to fix the issue.
Ps… All of the other plants are in good condition and have no signs of anything like the bigger plant.
It’s normal for the lower leaves to yellow (and eventually fall off) as a cannabis plant matures. It is nothing to worry about.
You should be testing both pH and PPM of the water that runs off from the pot each time you water. PPM should be ~1,000 and pH should be in the range 6.3 to 6.8.
You might want to consider better lighting. The plant’s lack of density and the distance between nodes is a symptom of too little lighting.
Hey just noticed very similar set up to myself. I am no pro - air circulation and good temp make such a big difference.
I would will be interested to she how they go after the second fan is introduced.
Thank you for the advice midwest! I will be getting a PH meter soon so that problem will be fixed and I had my grow lights on the 2nd highest setting and adjusted it to the highest setting of light. Should I continue to use distilled bottled water? or should I switch to tap? I have been using life brand since it was in the propagator as a seedling.
Thank you!!! I’m mad excited to be a part of the community and have been having fun working on this first grow even with the stress lol. Right now I’m using lights from Vivosun and seems to be working somewhat fine (ill see even more now that I adjusted the brightness setting. But are there any suggestions for a better light setup? the tent itself is pretty small so wasn’t sure what direction to go in.
The fan itself isn’t the best. for me, even on the highest setting, it seems to not give enough air circ. Also, this fan is USB plugged but regardless it turns off from time to time… which has been a big issue since it’s getting hotter here in NY. My temps right now are about 22.7 - 71%
Thank you! this should help a lot. still waiting on more stuff to help out with the temps. I will update this again once I adjusted everything again. Strange because the other plants seem to be doing fine under the same light and temps but still the one in the picture above seems to stop getting worse but still gave discoloration
