Nice Looking Plants
Thx for the tag @Naturalmedsman
Since I made the move to living soil I haven’t checked pH or PPM in well over a year. I just feed, water, give them light and let those microorganisms do their thing.
Best to you!
Thanks for the tag @Naturalmedsman as for water I collect rain water and it’s pretty much 6.8. I have always have ph’d to 6.5 do to the Promix HP that I use. But in organic soil no need to ph.
Tagging all of you for the great advise. I was wondering if PH really affected the grow. I’ve been dechlorinating water from the tap, so far so good.
1 other question. If I have a 40gal yeti cooler, and I dechlorinate in it. Can I just close it after 24 hours and use for upcoming feedings?
I just dont know if stagnant water is a thing.
@JaneQP @Nip @AL_GREEN @Dforce @Naturalmedsman @plumbdand
That’s a good question, I really don’t have a answer I don’t let it sit up long, I use it before it gets stagnant
I collect rain water during the summer and fall and use it all winter. I keep it in the dark with air stones and pumps for circulation.
I store in 275 gallon totes.
Okay the pump and Stone’s keep it from getting stagnant didn’t know that
Ok perfect thats the setup I’m using. Airpump with stones.
Now I do have a question about growth. (Strawberry Cough had some issues due to my own mistakes, but she is bouncing back.
Below pic’s were 3 days ago. They are 16 days old out of gemination chamber.
Questions:
-
Does this seem look about right just out of 3 week?
-
Environment is anywhere from 55-70% humidity, 69-80F.
-
I did move the plants closer to the light,
-
I just found out transparent pots is a no no.
(So I buried the transparent pots inside 1.5gal pot until root ball gets bigger. They have gotten bigger since I buried them)
Note:
They are starting to look happy, but just wanted to make sure.
(This is just on my Kitchen counter under trash 20w full spectrum light off Amazon.)
Schedule 18/6
They look Fine , I think you’re on the right track, when are you going to take them outside?
Going to start taking 2 outside starting Monday. Only for 4-6 hours at first to acclimate. Then after a week, full time under shade cloth 40%. Next week they either love the sun or hate it.
Other 2 in 4x4 tent inside.
They will Love the Sunshine, That’s Energy to Grow, Looking Forward to watching them grow I’ll help you much as I can , but I’m all outside Gurellia Growing make sure they stay moist and give nutrients every 3 or 4 day’s, half strength i would suggest because they’re still small , transplant when they get a good rootball into something bigger and you will be growing like a pro
thanks in advance!

How big are those pots
Pots are just something I had from garden plants. I would say 7-8 inch.
What are your plans for outside pots? I would suggest at least a 10 gallon for each.
Yea I still need to buy the 10gal pots for outside.
I got tons of information regarding outside growing, and will still have tons of questions.
It’s great to have a community of established growers.
Girls finally told me they were hungry by leaves starting to droop. Here’s how my girls are doing.
Strawberry Cough is having issues still. Looks like leaves are starting to deuterate, or getting ate. I don’t see any bugs or pests on the plants so I’m assuming its deficiency. Any help with Strawberry cough?
Have you been able to put them out in the sun yet? Thats if you are planning on leaving them out. If not, maybe a few hours of morning sun, shade during mid day and some evening sun for a couple weeks.
Make sure you don’t over water. Let dry out, cup will be light when you pick it up, then water. I believe ffof should be good with nutrients for 4 to 6 weeks is what I understand.
My Strawberry Cough is finicky, it really likes Advanced nutrients
Yea, I have been putting 2 outside last week but only for a couple hours in the am.
I will take your advise, and put in the shade after the first 2-3 hours, and doing the same at night.
O O O , Found caterpillar on the strawberry cough… So now I know to look under the leaves… BLAH
The other 2 I’m waiting on my tent to get here, so they will be going into controlled environment.
