First time grower. I found the seed in my buddy’s stash when i was rolling. He said toss it, I planted it. Turns out it was and autoflower(just learned wth that was lol).
SF 2x2x5 tent
SF 1000 100w light @ 18" from plant
5 gallon fabric (transplanted from solo cup into FF happy frog)
Temp Ranges 73-83
RH 52-62 (kinda controlling itself rn dehumidifier available)
Two small fans one med fan
No nutes schedule yet (watered FF soil with about 500ml of 1/8 mix of FF big bloom)
PLANT IS EITHER 18 OR 20 DAYS ABOVE GROUND REALLY CANT REMEMBER(lol)
Just want any advice, opinions, tips, etc.(p.s. poor attempt at lst)
Stop feeding her Fox Farm Big Bloom. Since you just recently transplanted her into a fresh batch of fox farm Happy frog soil, there is no need to feed anything but H2O for the first 30 days of transplant.
Happy frog soil comes pre-charged with nutrients that should supply your seedling sufficient nutrients for 30 to 40 days. Feeding her additional nutrients will lead to disastrous overfeeding.
Questions
1.) What type of water are you using to water your plants?
2.) are you adjusting your waters pH to 6.5 before feeding?
We call this a bag seed. They’re typically non-feminized meaning they could be male or female and the likeliness of this being an autoflower is slim to none from a bag seed.
Auto flowers are crossbred with the ruderalis plant (autoflower). So again based on finding this seed in a bag of weed is almost guaranteed not to be feminized and not to be autoflower and there’s a 50% chance it’s a male and a 50% chance it’s a female
Hello, and thanks for your input i really appreciate it.
To answer your questions im not 100% sure its an auto ( going off of growth for first couple weeks)
My water is tap ph of 7 ( cheap test)
And thanks for nute info…unfortunately im just seeing this comment and I watered her/him with 1L big bloom mix this A.M. im at work rn will see how it looks when i get off.
This is really just for fun although i would like a successful grow.
Definitely discontinue any food until you check the ppms in your soil.
You can do this by simply making your next feed 1-1/2 gallons of 6.5 pH water and running all of it through your plant and catching the water that runs out of the bottom and measuring your ppms. This will tell you how much pre-charge nutrients are left in your soil. Then you can proceed from there.
I know it’s only earthworm castings and bat guano like 0.-0.5-0.6 or something like that. I always say if you don’t know what the PPM of your soil is you shouldn’t feed it anything
Anyway to tell if its an autoflower? Only because i have a few light leaks to fix including my dehumidifier (with an annoying blue light) if its a photo indeed.
