First, THANK YOU ILGM, could not have got this far without this site and all the members!! I’m sure I topped her too much, Maui Wowie 17 days into flower. Growing in a 2’ x 2’ x 52” tent. I’m fairly sure I trimmed too many fan leaves, she is still doing well. My question is are there too many flowers? Sounds funny, should I trim the flowers under the flowers to promote larger colas? I tried to spread it out so all the flowers receive light. Thanks in advance!!

Nice plant. I would leave the plant as is. What benefit would larger colas be ? great growing

I wouldn’t remove any more growth buds or leaves Growmie. That defoliation you did is called Schwazzing

I second this. The plant needs its foliage to keep the plant healthy. The plant’s leaves manufacture the sugars the plant needs to grow.
Some growers will clear out the bottom 1/3 of the plant, but it’s best to leave the rest alone unless trimming to improve airflow.

What is too many?
4x4 resident
Heavily defoliated, tied or bend training and I hope, not too many flowers.
I single branch harvest, when possible.
I clone and super crop when possible.
Never too many for creating life.
Some don’t make the cut. Nanners.
As you shape, you can dry and smoke the no grows who grow no more.

I’m in week 9 of my first grow as well (Bruce Banner Autoflower) and I joined to see how I’m doing, and learn a little about the next handful of weeks. Lots of good info here

Shawn, in the banner at the top there are 3 bars. Click on that and then “Topics” in the drop down, at the top right should be a “New topic” button. Click on it and bam you have created a post. Call it whatever related to your grow or a question. Most of us create one thread for our own purposes and it is easy to help if we are looking for that one thread instead of 10 posts by the same person about bugs, lights, soil etc etc…
