will do… thanks
@blackthumbbetty I just remembered something… wrt 10 gal fabric pots… I don’t have many Auto’s left (4 Auto UK Cheese and they are only 5 weeks old). The remainder of my plants are non-Auto, so do you think I should use the 10 gal fab pots for the non-Auto’s or stick with 5 gal for an indoor grow? Oh, and with regards to fabric pots, if I get some smaller ones, 1, 2 gallons, are they a pain to transplant to larger pots? Thank you
I was thinking you might actually be overwatering, if the pot takes so long to dry out. Most people here use the fabric pots, so most give watering advice based on that. Metal/plastic/etc pots take longer to dry out, so you have to water them less/less often.
Both sizes will work just fine, but the 10 gallon pots are huge & will require a significantly higher amount of grow media, nutes, and water. If you treat your roots right, though, those big pots could lead to…well BIG POT plants. ![]()
Smaller ones are easy to transplant up from, but if the roots system is large & touching the sides of the pot, you have to be careful. They can kind of grab onto the fabric. No big deal, just know that might feel slight resistance.
Seeds in solo cup or 20 oz pot … Get t about a foot tall in that and transplant to the 5s or what ever u choose but I like to allow the plant to get established and truly flourishing before I like bothering her fragile stage stress can be very problematic , stems snap easily , plants are fragile and unforgiving the younger they are and more difficult to bounce back with out large root system I’m sure u’ve seen pants bud get harvested and get revegg and start growing again tats because the roots support the plant leaves or not
